There was an attempt. This park has great potential but it's not maintained properly which is unfortunate. The play area surface is terrible. It's not clean fill, its dirty sand everywhere, and the ground sand is the same sand that's in the sandbox which itself is deteriorating and splintering. The swings are ridiculously tall since they replaced the old seats. I've attached a photo of a 10-year-old of average height trying to use the swing, notice how tall they are. There arent enough benches and only one in the shade. The benches that are there are strangely tall or tilted at uncomfortable angles and have broken slats but plenty of paint on them so they have clearly been broken for quite some time. There's plywood blocking off portions of the play structure and the pavement has entire sections missing making it difficult for wheelchairs and strollers to get to the pool which is a whole other halfhearted effort.

Pretty sure I have rated this place, there is a lot of stuff for the kids, skate park, playground swimming pool, Basketball and tennis courts, there is also a volleyball court although I'm not sure there is a net, fitness course and lot's of ball fields including baseball/softball and soccer. Parking is the tough part as the number of paved spots is limited. there are some portable toilets and maybe some restrooms in the bath house for the pool but that requires a pass.

Always a nice destination to start an adventure! Playgrounds, picnic areas, hiking trails, ball fields and more. Nice place to park and walk to other sites nearby if you enter the west entrance. The bridge is really interesting and very exciting for little ones. Many accessible features. The park is well maintained with something for everyone.

Big place. Tennis 🎾 and basketball 🏀 court. Baseball ⚾ fields, skateboard 🛹 park and seasonal swimming pool. Playground for the kids. Porta potty available. Benches to sit on. Plenty of parking 🅿️. There is a bridge that leads to a small educational nature walk that was set up by the Boys and Girl Scouts.
