I've never written a review before for ANY store ( so that should tell you something) mainly because I usually let things go however, I had such a terrible experience at J.M Princewell I feel it is completely necessary to warn other people. I drove quite a distance with my daughter to meet my best friend for lunch (who lives in the area) and specifically to pick out Pandora charms and Alex/ani bracelets. We walked in and the lady who was working at the time clearly never learned proper customer service or manners in general. Along with not welcoming us in the store she gave us a cold stare and a "huff". I believe she was judging us right off the bat based on the fact I brought my child (who was strapped in a stroller versus a child running around). She seemed uninterested in answering our questions. As my friend was looking through the Pandora charms this lady kept her eyes on me with a rude expression as I was just strolling along. I don't think I ever felt so uncomfortable in my life. I was walking around because my daughter was getting a little fussy and this helped her settle down! As any parent would when a two year old screams and cries we remove them from the situation such as restaurants, stores, etc. However, my daughter literally settled right down after minor fuzzing and let out one screech( because she saw a cute stuffed animal elephant). The women scolded at me and told me: I quote “Your child is ridiculous and I'm going to have to ask you to leave". I just politely nodded my head in shock and said okay fine. First off, my child was not even that bad (because as a considerate person I know the limits and would have made the call to leave if I thought it was necessary) however, I understand you have a business to run and don't want us to disturb your other customers. BUT was it appropriate to call her ridiculous? And that tone was so harsh and rude. Almost as if I was beneath her. We were about to easily drop $200+ at your store and I would have appreciated it and respected this place of business if she asked me to step outside politely without using negative connotation towards my child. I got to the door and that’s when I told my friend "I'd prefer to take my business elsewhere." It was then when the lady legit screamed “CAN I JUST TELL YOU SOMETHING, YOU NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBLITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS." I feel like the proper way to handle it was to just let it go and say” Okay that’s fine, have a good day”. I just feel like it could have been handled in of a professional manor. To call a child ridiculous is uncalled for even if they were screaming loud never mind minor fussing. In addition, the one other customer she had in the store was super friendly to my child and even threw her compliments. Therefore, it was clear that your customers did not mind having a child in the store. You don't know any ones personal struggle. I was there to pick out specific charms for my daughter who is a heart baby and just suffered open heart surgery. As well as best friend charms for the one person who stood by me through it all. I hope they learn proper customer service and realize that people are people and should not be looked down upon or treated so poorly. I wouldn’t shop there again and I strongly encourage others to not shop there as well. I felt harassed and stereotyped judged as a mother. ACT PROFESSIONALY AND MORE...
Read moreTerrible customer service! Will not be buying anything from here again! I have bought Pandora rings from here before and have enjoyed coming into the store from time to time when in the area. However, I recently purchased a Pandora ring here about a month and a half ago. A few weeks into owning it, it broke and I just found the time to go in and see what they could do about it. When I got in, I kindly explained the situation saying that I had bought it a month and a half ago and that it broke a few weeks later, I was wearing a lacrosse shirt and the first thing the lady asked me was if I had been wearing it while playing sports. I told her no, and she asked if I had been doing anything out of the ordinary. I told her no again and that I had been wearing it and one day looked down and saw that it was broken. She looked at my shirt and again said, “well, you play lacrosse, so were you wearing it while playing?” Again I said no I had taken the ring off as you aren’t allowed to play with it on. She then went over to opening the drawer and told me to go to a jeweler to fix it!(I had purchased this at a discount so I understand that it may be more expensive to replace but I still bought it and it broke) I had bought the ring here and she didn’t even consider replacing it, it has literally been a month and a half since purchasing! I would expect a replacement if you sell me a product that should last quite a long time and is supposed to be good quality. Very disappointed and will not be...
Read moreGot 2 pairs of socks, made from Alpaca wool, and they unbelievable in their comfort and, most vitally, warmth. I live on Boston’s North Shore, but my impression of June (Owner) and her associates, was that, they care about their customers’ happiness with their myriad products and have an especial sense of pride in the high quality in the many things they stock or order. Seems like a different positive vibe I get from New England gift style shops. My ex gets unique jewelry which is really pretty with colorful designs, durably manufactured and inexpensive relative to the trend of unimaginative sameness in things like ear rings, bangles or necklaces. So why this’ll lengthy review?? June went so far, as to recommend a local COMPETITOR, when I got the last pair of these socks from their inventory. Used to play lots of golf at Souhegan golf course, when I worked at Fidelity brokerage center in Merrimack. Got to know area and unique friendly but fiercely independent independent locals, polite citizens who make up area Used to love their modest club house with ice cold frostys and delicious hot dogs-a great 19th hole. My socks are loose fitting by design without the inside stitching that can feel like a pebble in your shoe. No seams or tight elastic band sewn in. The yarn is very soft but wears...
