Cafe On the Oval — Restaurant in Milford

Loved it! Awesome, sassy waitresses, hot coffee continuously available, scratch pancakes, real maple syrup available, delish hash, and perfectly cooked eggs. One of the best breakfast places I've been to lately. Parking on the oval is tricky though. Visited on a Thursday morning so not too crowded. Plan to come back with the hubs so he can try it. Got my usual breakfast of a veggie omelet with cheese, griddled English muffin, a side of hash, and a plain pancake. All arrived fast, hot, and fresh. Delicious! Loved the pan fried potatoes too. Total bill for all of mine, each of my friends had a breakfast plate as well, and we had 2 coffees and a hot chocolate. $50!! I'm not impressed with this breakfast restaurant after several visits. I believe they serve average food that is nothing special. I ordered extra crispy home fries and they came out with a portion that included under cooked home fries and the rest were burnt. My 2 egg breakfast plate came out as an omelet with my requested meat(ham) diced(probably a premade product) inside. I didn't order an omelet, I ordered an egg breakfast plate. Special requests are clearly not appreciated here. The service seems to be average with the main head waitress being on the bossy side and comes off as impatient . There are worst breakfast restaurants but I believe they could try harder here. I would recommend, just don't expect anything special here at...

This place is amazing. We had a large group of 22. We called 2 days ahead of course. They do not have a private room but have an area that they are able to string together tables. They did this flawlessly even with challenges. Once seated the satisfied everyone's coffee or drink and took orders when WE were ready, never rushed. The waitresses were clearly experienced, so cool never annoyed with any request. The food came back in record time. It seemed like servers were trying to keep up with the kitchen.
