Milford Dog Park — Attraction in Milford

The Milford dog park is very nice. I would come again. There are two extremely large fenced in areas for large and small dogs. There are drinking fountains and trash cans with bags for EASY clean ups. This was a first time visit here and there were medium and large size dogs in the large area and no dogs in the small area. I wasn't sure how these two 18 month old Boxers would handle being with other dogs, so I put them in the small dog area. It was nice seeing them running up and down the fence line, though still unsure how they would react with others. They've had some socialization at Petco and sometimes don't want to listen especially when they are free to run lol. There are a few picnic tables in each area, which is great for people socials while the dogs play. Lol Parking is ok, though I don't know how it's like...

The park is truly wonderful. However, the area that is serving as the dog park continues to have shards of glass from the tiniest pieces to large, thick bottles and other glass pieces. As the dogs run, as it rains and dirt is turned over the glass is being exposed. On any given day, you can take your dog to the park and find/pick up large numbers of these glass remnants. It is truly disheartening because these pieces keep coming time after time no matter how much you dedicate to picking up theres that much more waiting to be exposed. Our husky had two cuts on his paws. Nothing was embedded, thankfully. It is a disaster waiting to happen. Many, many people like us give a valiant effort to picking up all the glass but it is a futile effort. I wish Parks & Rec would...

Owner beware! I mean dog parks are the worst. There is a trail next to this and 3 yards all with water. 2 with shade, 1 with amazing shade. I go only with a specific friend. every single time, there has been negative interactions. Owners here are extremely negligent. I've been to four others and it's never been this bad. 2 of the others have been upstate and they were not bad. The other was Millsboro and it's a waste.
