Beautiful bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Rapunzel room on the top floor and we were the only ones there so we had free roam of the house. Very clean and charming, lots of character and beautiful details. There were even books to read and movies to watch. The breakfast was delicious and the inn keeper was so friendly and kind. He gave us the tour and told us stories and history. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot! The people who run it are wonderful. They are very helpful and friendly. The rooms and other accommodations were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast is a treat for the food, view of the gardens, and the company. Definitely recommend! Parking is on the opposite corner and the guest entrance is in the back.

I enjoyed every minute of our mini-trip away from home. However, I wanted to bring a few things to your attention, as I did not feel the need to write them as a review for your establishment. However, I will in order to shed light on this situation.||||After we returned back to Maryland, I took a few days to reflect on our experience. While I appreciated the stay, I was bothered by Ms. Rhonda’s decision to knock on our door to ask if we’d been in the room next to ours. With all due respect, Ms. Rhonda should have asked her employee (Maggie) if we occupied the room in error – considering we were in our correct room at the time that Ms. Rhonda went to check on the room that we were incorrectly placed in.||||We were initially taken to the room by Maggie. Once we started to unpack, my friend pulled back the sheets and sprayed Lysol on the bed – as we always do when we travel. He also sprayed Lysol throughout the room and bathroom. It then dawned on me that the description of the room that I’d saw online, stated that the bathroom associated with the room I’d booked was along a hallway. However, this bathroom was inside of our room. By that time I went into the bathroom, I heard Maggie rush up the stairs to tell us that we were in the incorrect room. She then led us to the correct room (next door), while she commenced to pulling up the sheets on the bed in the room that we left. Just so you’ll know, we did not get in the bed, nor did we sit on the bed. Also, we did not use the bathroom. My friend simply disinfected the room with Lysol spray prior to Maggie re-entering the room – in order to tell us that our “actual” room was next door. Maggie apologized several times, which I appreciated.||||Once we got settled into the “correct” room, I fell asleep for a bit. I then got up to prepare for the beach. I was on the floor in the middle of getting dressed, when my friend and I heard a knock at the door. My friend then opened the door, and what I heard was alarming to me. At NO point should he (or myself) have been asked if we “occupied” the other room prior to asking Maggie. It was uncalled for, and I felt that we were being profiled. I understand that we are currently operating within a pandemic, but was this about taking safety precautions due to Covid-19? I don’t think so, considering Ms. Rhonda came to our door without a mask on! With all due respect, I do not feel that a knock would have taken place at our door - if we were of another race. Ms. Rhonda and I spoke on the phone several times, leading up to that day. I’m sure she could tell that I was a black woman. Although I appear to be 25 years old, I am two months shy of turning 40 years old. I’ve traveled all over this country (and beyond), and never have I been placed in a position to be made to feel that my integrity was being questioned. Especially in a place where I would be staying overnight! If there was a “question” based on the bed being “unmade”, then those questions should have been directed towards Maggie – not us. She is your employee. We were your guests. My friend explained that he simply pulled back the sheets to spray down the bed, but he should not have been placed in a position to do so – then to be told that guests would be arriving soon. I could not see Ms. Rhonda’s face, but my friend advised that she had a look of “terror” on her face. Why though? It was not our problem that guests were arriving soon. We were initially taken to the incorrect room. Therefore, if the bed was not “re-made” prior to the other guests arriving – whose fault was it? Certainly not ours! When my friend advised that Ms. Rhonda came to our door without a mask on, I knew what this was about. Unacceptable! Ms. Rhonda made it very clear to me over the phone, that we were to have our masks on while inside of the B&B. ||||Prior to this fiasco: Once I realized that the room did not match what I saw online, Maggie was on her way back to the room to have us vacate/go into the correct room. I was okay with that, just like I was okay with the fire alarm going off late that same night - because mishaps can occur at anytime, and anyplace. However, I was not okay with my friend being questioned by Ms. Rhonda about something that should have been discussed with Maggie.||||In light of the times that we are currently in, I cannot believe how things unfolded. Ms. Rhonda’s questioning triggered something in me that I try very hard to ignore – but I simply cannot. I am a black woman, and my friend is a black man. We already know that the magnifying glass comes out when we enter into a room – especially when it may be outside of our community. I am not blind, nor was this incident a figment of my imagination. My friend was questioned like a child or rather someone whose integrity was being questioned. I am uber proud of him for not reacting – although I wanted to. He asked me not to say anything to Ms. Rhonda while we were there, and out of respect for him I obliged - although I felt the need to set the record straight. I kept my composure because I wanted to take time to process what took place. Ms. Rhonda may be reading this thinking, “I didn’t mean any harm. I was simply asking a question because you were the only guests there at the time.” However, you should ask yourself if we were anyone else, would you have knocked on a guest's closed door to ask about a room that appeared to have been “occupied”, prior to going to your employee with the same question? You should also as yourself, “How would I have reacted/or felt if this were done to me?” Trust me, you would not have liked it so why did you feel the need to do it?????||||In Maggie’s defense, she was extremely kind/sweet. My friend did advise that he overheard Maggie trying to explain to Ms. Rhonda what happened to the room – after Ms. Rhonda knocked on our door. She truly made an honest mistake. However, I am not able to say the same about Ms. Rhonda.||||This is my truth and feeling that we were treated like people who lacked integrity. We had no reason to “mess” up a bed, then to go into our room. That’s silly and makes me feel like a combination of sadness and anger - as I type this. As if someone needed to go behind us, to ask us if we did something – although you had an employee that you should have gone to first.||||I was raised well, and to always express my thoughts through words. I was also raised to always remain true to myself. This incident caused me to have flashbacks of when my mom and I were followed in Bloomingdale's by a white employee - when I was 9 years old. I hate reliving that moment, because that’s the moment in which my mom had to explain to me that the employee followed us because she thought we were stealing. She also explained that people will judge me because of the color of my skin because they feel that they have a right to do so. This incident may not have been the same, but it seems that it was “assumed” that we went into another room without “permission”. This incident proves that we have a ton of work to do when it comes to race relations. At that moment, I should have approached Ms. Rhonda, and advised my friend that we were leaving. I will never support any business that cannot follow basic etiquette, and I truly feel that I did a major disservice to myself by staying. I stayed because I gave Ms. Rhonda the benefit of the doubt, but after reflecting on this it was truly insulting to be questioned about a room – prior to obtaining information from the employee that took us to the room!||||In closing, I hope that my truth will allow Ms. Rhonda to see how uncomfortable her actions made us feel. I tried to let this go, but this needed to be addressed. Approaching grown adults about something that should have been discussed with staff was disrespectful, unacceptable, unprofessional, and shameful. I want to believe that Ms. Rhonda meant well, but my spirit tells me otherwise. This was a case of profiling, and it was painfully obvious.||||In spite of my feelings, I truly wish you guys all the best in your business endeavors but I will never suggest your B&B to any of my family or friends – as I would never want them to experience what we experienced. Although this may have very well been an “isolated” situation - this all could have simply been avoided if Ms. Rhonda had gone to her employee, instead of being suspicious of her guests.||||Again, in light of our country’s current climate I ask that you guys please take the time to think before you act. Everyone does not have what it takes to remain as calm as we did, because this situation could have certainly spiraled out of control. Being profiled in any way - is not acceptable. ||||Had this experience been different, I would have given this place VERY GOOD. However, it was AVERAGE with poor...

What a perfect midweek getaway for my wife and me. The Towers Inn definitely checked all of the boxes - location, historical, exceptionally clean, quiet atmosphere, superb service, attentive hospitality, knowledgeable owner and innkeeper, and nearby restaurants and activities. Hannah, the Innkeeper, was very pleasant as she greeted us on our arrival and filled us in on all of the amenities. The garden area was the perfect place to sit and read while appreciating the beautiful flowers and plants or just hanging out with Theo. Dan, the owner, is a historical encyclopedia full of knowledge about Milford and the surrounding areas. His care for the betterment of the community is evident by the presentation of The Towers Inn. The chef (AKA Dan) donned his apron each morning to prepare a delicious breakfast. The Towers Inn breakfast is so much more than the usual hard bagel and cold eggs served at the chain hotels. Hannah kept our coffee hot and fresh, the Eggs Benedict matched any highly rated restaurant and the French Toast was plentiful and tasty. We highly recommend The Towers Bed & Breakfast for a getaway. It’s a short drive to the large beaches or an even shorter drive to the local nature beaches during a midweek May visit. We look forward to a...

Thank you Rhonda,||Rhonda was the most amazing host and showed us around town. She is very knowledgeable regarding the town of Milford and surrounding attractions. ||She is Totally invested in creating a wonderful guest experience. The different rooms/suites provided varied experiences. This stately home embraces a warm welcoming atmosphere and we always felt welcome. My husband and I are a racially diverse couple and always felt respected and engaged in conversations as well as having our privacy honored by Rhonda and her husband, who we met when he was in town from NY. Each breakfast was craftfully prepared and peach tea, my favorite was always offered with a butler of variety. It was a pleasure to be asked about any food allergies, preferences or dislikes. We enjoyed the private pool on warm days and deliciously smelling towels were available or guests.||Our first stay was in 2005 with several others that followed. ||This prompted us to become Milford De.residents from Pa.||This B&B is worth the warm experience and close to several appealing...
