Surf Bagel Milford — Restaurant in Milford

UPDATE (10/7/25): I went back to Surf Bagel in Milford, DE and spoke with the manager, Terry. He handled the issue very well. He was professional, personable, and apologetic for our two experiences. And though we did not ask for any recompense, he had me take a gift card for a next visit. We will give them another try based on how he cared about our concerns and exercised good customer relations. I am also pleased to see that the owners read their reviews, respond, and take customer experience seriously. Thank you to Katie. :-) Sadly disappointed with the staff. We recently moved into the Milford area and were glad to find Surf Bagel there. BUT, we’ve been there twice as of today (Sat 10/4) and both times our bagel orders were done incorrectly. And unfortunately we didn’t discover it either time until well after we had left and driven a ways away. The first time the staff put the wrong cream cheese on our bagels…not what we ordered. Today, the staff failed to put cheese on our egg+bacon+CHEESE bagel breakfast sandwich. We ordered, and paid for, the cheese. I’ll be making a special trip back up there tomorrow (Sunday) to speak with a manager. Let’s see how well they handle their Customer Service and Relations…..

Surf Bagel, your staff need to do better, be more diligent, and get customers’...

Trying to pay and the card won’t go through unless you give them a tip that’s not right if I’m here 4 times a day always the want a tip And the bagel was only 1 egg as you see in the picture and lots of bacon was kind of dry and bagel taste old like from day before When they called my number, I grabbed the bagel. I sat down and unwrapped it. I looked. It was barely any eggs lotta bacon, very disappointed and also there was no cheese. I walked to the counter. I told the girl I want it bagel, bacon, egg, and cheese and there is no cheese , the girl told me you’re sure you want cheese I say yes I do I said I want a bagel bacon, egg, and cheese. I pay for the cheese if I did not want cheese I would’ve mentioned i don’t want cheese I got my receipt and I show the girl I say here’s my receipt it shows bagel bacon egg and cheese on my receipt . & There is no cheese. She grabbed a bagel. Give it to the boy behind the counter, opened up my bagel just put a 1 slice of cheese and they gave it to me very awful customer service. And expensive.

Go to any WAWA and get your bagel for 2.00 and the register will not ask you for a tip to pay...

Has become subpar since changing hands to SoDel Concepts. While I was originally excited to hear about more locations popping up it has become a disappointment in the change. The lox spread just taste like plain cream cheese now. Less cream cheese is put on bagels than before. Bagels have seemingly gotten smaller. Scrapple is now cut thinner. The nova and cream cheese I have to mention the standard toppings to cashier to get them and less nova is put on sandwich than before. The chips with the sandwich have become fewer from their original chips, going to Uglies(which were delicious), and then switching to bagged Surf Bagel chips that are always burnt and only 1oz compared to 2oz with the Uglies. I have tried all locations with same issue and on numerous occasions so this isn't just a one-off. All this is at the same time that prices have increased as with many places, however they have reduced the quality and quantity as well. While my previous review was 5 stars I must reduce it to 2 stars with such drastic negative changes and re-evaluate if Uber Bagels is...
