Mispillion Riverwalk — Attraction in Milford

They've cleaned it up a lot in the last few years. It always looks so when the sun rises or sets and the river is flowing. People fish, walk, play basketball and another game I forget the name of. They have a new playground built so small kids now have something to do! The library is also on the Riverwalk so you can go in and enjoy books, magazines, laptops l, etc. There's plenty of restaurants, clothing stores and a really cool candy shop all on the same block on the Riverwalk. They also have a bridge that goes over the river and it's very nice and a good spot for pictures. There's plenty of benches and trash cans. There's also lots of geese and ducks that call it their home and they're friendly! There's also a dog park right around the corner along with Goat Island...

I was looking for something to do in Milford as I was stuck down there waiting for my wife while she worked. I needed to do something. I looked up what to do and this popped up. It was promoted as a nice scenic walk around the river on a boardwalk which was listed as a mile. No way. The river is filthy. You certainly aren’t walking a mile. Suddenly you’re dumped into a ghetto with no indication of where to go to pick up the trail. I wound up walking through downtown “historic “ Milford with decrepit houses and empty streets....

long the Mispillion River in the nearby town of Milford is a scenic, paved walkway that winds through the pretty downtown area. The walkway is about a mile long and is beautifully-landscaped.

Along the way, you may even catch a glimpse of birds or other wildlife that are sometimes spotted in the area. Depending on the time of year you visit, vendors and markets may be present, or you may just walk into one of the festivals that are held during the warmer months, such as the Riverwalk...
