You might find a better slice somewhere in Italy, but you won’t find a better genuine little Italian pizzeria anywhere locally!!! I got hooked in the 1980’s and it’s still what I always go to!
Classic Italian hand tossed pizza and big subs that can’t be beat! They also offer Italian favorites like lasagna and spaghetti, but I can’t stop ordering the pizza! Many items from the fryer, you can easily find a menu on the online menu sites. I don’t think they have a website and they don’t have online ordering but I don’t care! Place a call and they get it right every time usually in as little as 15-20 minutes.
They have a ton of beers in singles and six packs for a quick and easy takeout spot for some brew. Plus, a PA lottery machine if you like the scratch-offs. I usually take out, but atmosphere is casual and sports are usually on the tv. Sometimes during rush hours in the evening it can feel a bit crowded and staff seem busy, but they are a local favorite so it’s gonna happen. They do have local delivery, but I’ve never used it. During the day it’s usually always a nice cool vibe. They are by the river and some outdoor seating could be really cool. I’ve seen nicer buildings that sell pizza, but I’d rather have good pizza over a wanna-be fine dining experience that you ultimately pay for. The Milton State Park (see review) is minutes away if you want a spot to picnic.
The quality doesn’t reflect it, but it is the most affordable shop locally as well, hands down. You can feed yourself and the family great pizza and Italian food without spending as much as you would at some local Original Italian Pizza locations which are somewhat comparable to Pizza Town. Weekdays you get a large cheese pizza and a cold Pepsi 2 liter for $10, this is my go to. The mozzarella sticks, cheesesteaks and Italian subs are awesome as well I can say. Beats any chain pizza shop hands down.
Not here to just be nice, but giving credit and respect...
Read moreThis place was visually appealing. Nice atmosphere with a decently sized seating area. Big television at the front of store along with a lottery machine and an atm. They also sell chips, soda and alcohol. I live like 8 minutes away from this place so it was convenient for me to stop in to try it for the first time ever. Everybody there was nice and when i asked what they specialized in i was told their cheesesteaks and other subs were the go-to when ordering from there. I wanted pizza because well they are called pizza town and i felt it was the right call at the time... boy i should of took the warning. The pizza i got was an extra cheese pizza with bacon. Could not go wrong with extra cheese or bacon right? Well they ended up burning the bottom of the pizza which i didnt find out until i got home or i would of asked for a different pie to be made or to just go somewhere else which i didnt want to do because i wanted to try different places... when taking a bite of this pizza the burnt underside ruined the whole pie. You Could not taste anything but burnt crust. It baffled me because there was no huge crowd or a long wait when i went in so no rushing and making mistakes to account for. I dont know if ill be returning for pizza anytime soon. Pizza town was a let down.
Update: gave it another try... im done with this place. Pizza was a mess. Parts of pizza had no cheese or toppings on it. It fell apart and was of a mushy texture. Flavor was not good.... not burnt this time though... will avoid this place for...
Read moreI really regret writing this as I have ordered their food every weekend and I used to love their food, But I found half a FINGERNAIL in my pizza and that is unacceptable. They've been reported, since then they're wearing gloves but I will never buy their pizza again.
I used to love them until I found a fingernail in my pizza, I hope that doesn't happen to anyone else. Stay away!
ALSO they're website is not accurate on prices. 16.000$=24.00$ pizza now. Update your website.
EDIT: FROM THE OWNER:
Response from the owner a year ago Dear customer, we're so sorry for the bad experience. Comments like yours show us what we need to work on. Thanks for helping us improve.
They put on gloves after this review, then took them off after a few weeks. I went in and asked why they don't wear gloves anymore after the review that I posted and they explained it was a piece of equipment that got into the pizza. They only made those glove changes when reported. Someone explain how a piece of equipment feels exactly like a fingernail? Is there anything else that you know of that feels exactly like a fingernail and breaks off in the SHAPE of a fingernail?
Also if thats true they have random pieces of "equipment" breaking off in your food?
Zero accountability for...
