A well maintained cemetery just minutes from Miller Park. This cemetery is the resting place for one of Milwaukee's founding fathers, Solomon Juneau. It's also the resting place for practically the entire Miller family (Beer Barons) as they have a large family plot. If you stand at the mausoleum on the hill and look over the cemetery on a snowy day it's a beautiful sight. Pick up a map as you enter for locations.

I love the history of this cemetery. So many giant head stones. Quite a few Obolisks. Its unfortunate that modern day cemeteries are so bland. This place definitely has character. If you haven't visited I recommend doing so. I come here because my Great Grand Father Herman Reichart is buried here. He passed away in 1938. He's the reason my family is in the United States of America. Thank you Great Grand Father!

This is one of the coolest and most historical cemeteries in the Milwaukee area. Be sure to check out their Wikipedia page for notable residents. Very much worth a drive-through.

I haven't visited a lot of cemeteries, and I've taken pictures at even fewer, but after spending a couple hours here (leading up to sunset) I definitely want to go back and spend a LOT MORE. Lots of 19th Century headstones, some sadly in such a state of disrepair that they aren't even legible. Many family plots. Very historic and picturesque. If you go, be prepared to meet a few dogs...I made the acquaintance of a very friendly and very shy one who frequent the cemetery with their people. Also be prepared to pick up the occasional beer or booze can or bottle -- even death does not provide an escape from rude and disrespectful...
