This is the first time ever eating here. Our meals were ok, we had shrimp scampi for an appitizer which was 2 shrimp for $12.00 tasted great but thought the price was way to high. The bread and relish tray outstanding especially if you put the honey on the warm bread. We each had a salad which was again ok not bad not great just a salad nothing stood out about it. I had the Kansas's strip steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, my wife had the larger ribeye with the garlic topping and the fry's. We both ordered Med Rare her steak was cooked really nice a very good med rare, mine was more of a medium and it was dry and tough even for a strip steak is was extra tough. Now for the prices you are paying $60 a steak I expected much better cuts of meat and at a steak houses of this class there should be Chefs that can cook steaks to the correct doneness. The fry's we're fry's good, my mashed potatoes were good but the gravy was very salty kinda ruined the mashed potatoes. For dessert my wife had Tiramisu and I had the Key Lime pie, both again we're ok. The service was outstanding perfect. Now I am judging their steak quality against other Steak Houses we have eaten at ,Five O'clock Club, Rare, Carson's, Butter Inn, Mo's, and Perry's in Chicago. Not sure if we will go back there but they're are several other dishes that looked good, but I know for sure if we go back we will not order steaks. I do realize sometime you can have one inferior cut and maybe that was the one I got, but still the steaks just did not wow...
Read moreI have visited many steakhouses, and this is not at the top of my list. The King Prime Rib for $65 is not worth the money. Was it tender? Yes the Prime rib is extremely tender, but the texture was weird and there was a ton of seasoning on it that took all the beef flavor away. The thing that's weird is that it wasn't salty, so as to what seasonings they use I don't know, but there was a huge lack of beef flavor. The char was more of a darkened edge that a crispy char. My wife ordered a Ribeye for $65 and that literally had an asparagus after taste! How, I don't know! Maybe they put some on the grill before cooking the ribeye. There was absolutely no beef flavor to the ribeye at all! I mean none! The calamari appetizer was delicious along with the Tuscan soup. The mozzarella in the sticks had some weird seasoning on it also. Also who serves bread uncut into slices? We had to cut the bread ourselves which left crispy bread crust all over the table, it was a mess! My son had the chicken Alfredo and said it was pretty good, I didn't try it. The atmosphere is awesome, dark decorative and welcoming! The staff are super nice and attentive! We will not be returning. I would eat Texas Roadhouse before these steaks. If I want a $65 steak I will go to Jackson Grill and get a delicious well cooked...
Read moreI might have had the best steak I've ever had at Milwaukee Steakhouse! Before dinner, my wife and I had a few drinks at the bar. Their selection was good, bar staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and the drink prices were fair. My wife tested them on their cosmo (her gold standard) and I had a side car and a Manhattan. All done well!
For dinner, our server was Debbie. If she's working, ask for Debbie, she's amazing. You're started off with the classic supper club spread, a HOT loaf of sourdough bread, and a COLD relish tray. The reason I emphasize hot and cold because it was actually impressive how the temperature of their product was PERFECT. I could tell their food wasn't sitting out on a counter or under a heat lamp. Bravo. I had their french onion soup, which was outstanding. We both ordered fillets, one medium, one medium rare. Both perfect. Steaks come with soup/salad and potato choice, which is nice.
Their menu isn't huge, there aren't a ton of options. But if you're looking for classic steak done perfectly, delicious sides, great drinks, friendly staff, in a relaxing, classic atmosphere, Milwaukee Steakhouse is the...
