Bicentennial Park — Attraction in Minerva

A lot of the playground equipment is rusted out with sharp, rusty edges. Large pieces of concrete above some scarcely laid shredded rubber tire underneath a climbing structure that a kid could hit their head on. Every time we've been there, therrs been a bunch of trash laying around, condoms, and some used needles on the ground. The block building with actual restrooms is locked up and they've put out a porta potty that doesn't get emptied and cleaned often enough so it overflows 🤢 A lot of graffiti on the kid's playground equipment...

Went there to walk my dogs, when I was in the area to visit family. There is a nice paved path around the park that is nearly a mile in length. There are great views of the nearby creek, 3 large picnic shelters, tennis courts, disc golf, ball fields, and lots of playground equipment. The only negative is the only restrooms available are port-a-pots. But, still great to have a bathroom. I suspect that this park will...

Large, very clean and well maintained city park. Several baseball and softball fields, soccer field/goals, a track and 9-hole disc golf course. Disc golf course encompasses lesser visited VFW-sponsorred veterans memorial requiring navigation of four water hazards. Be prepared to wade beautiful Sandy Creek to fetch those wayward discs! Fun...
