North Market — Attraction in Minneapolis

You know I’ve been shopping at the store like 2-3 years never had a problem been in and another many times. I have a small child and the one time that I didn’t even know there was a store policy about because there’s no sign for it. I bring my son‘s diaper bag in and I use it as a purse brand new. They could’ve checked me I guess but they chose not to. They come up to me and I was getting two items and tell me it’s a store policy and I cannot have a backpack in there. I’ve never been told this before there is no sign posted anywhere and how are you just gonna come up to me and tell me oh well you need to take your backpack upfront no I don’t. It’s my purse and it’s also a diaper bag for My Son granite. This was the first time I’ve ever brought a backpack into a store because I typically don’t, but it’s what I use as my diaper bag and my purse today that’s what I used. There was nothing to hide and certainly there was plenty of people walking around, and I did nothing to deserve being pinpointed like that, and felt very disrespected, which I will be calling the Better Business Bureau about this and the attorney general‘s office. They don’t have a sign. They should not be able to say diddly squat people if you don’t want people bringing in backpacks you need to have a sign posted and make it known from the jump. Don’t be disrespectful to somebody. Well it took me a year and a half to make this review I wasn't going to but it's the Gods honest truth I was a frequent customer like daily always in and out no problem they always treated me nice I even locked my keys in my car and they were happy to help a couple days after that I go in like daily and the same manager lady comes up to me in a very rude and mean manner and said you need to leave you were stealing I was shocked I am huge on teaching my kids not to steal it's one thing I despise most anywho I stood there want to cry with embarrassment and shock I than ask her to see proof or video or the reason why they are Soo rudely accusing she said nope you need to leave right now I called a whole year later as I respected their wishes and wanted to ask to come back never a return call it really hurt me and being very rudely accused as if they had some kind of proof but it was IMPOSSIBLE because I never ever stole from them do better with your LOYAL customers all customers for that matter I'm just really hurt still and would really just like and apology or some proof of what I was accused of as they refused to show me anything I could probably tell you why.... This great little grocery market is serving the north Minneapolis community. It's impressive that food selection is very diverse for satisfying a lot of needs for the community. They offer off-name brands and items that are offered from Cub Foods, Whole Foods and exclusively local CO-OPs. These various Minneapolis grocers are definitely providing various food stocking this market. The average price is relatively the same if I went to those stores.

I read comments from people complaining pricing is reasonable to expensive and I hope this illuminates why there is such a pricing issue. The fact of the matter is if the market is receiving a discount from the Minneapolis grocery community offering their goods, it not passed on to the consumer. I saw a couple of empty shelves but I suppose they are waiting to be restocked by their grocer partner.

I recognize some of the staff from North Minneapolis working at this store, and that is great. The staff is generally friendly and fairly happy. I do not expect the Whole Foods staff, I expect the North Minneapolis community that I love and...
