This used to be our home church for many years. My husband was an usher and served on the council. We worked the festival, Christmas shop for children, and participated in annual pierogi making. My youngest son was a server for 6 plus years, my daughter for 3 years after he was college age as she was younger............ after Father Glen moved and then Father Don passed and 2 new Priests came, they held a meeting stating Holy Cross, (part of tri church now,) only had male servers.... we had always been Saturday Mass attendees and suddenly the new schedule put our daughter to serve at 800 am Sundays, no longer 4 pm Mass. Not progressive / forward thinking. Certainly chased us out. For a church without a young population, poor and disappointing choice to us. Last week they provided a funeral Mass for a family member and celebrated her life and did it well. .
