A place of something fun for the whole family! Seriously, what's your idea of outdoor fun? Nature, playground park, family time, sports, adventure? This place has it all! Basketball and maybe a tennis court?, jungle-jim for the kido's, a couple baseball fields, a few picnic tables and paved walking paths. All within two stones throw of the river! Which you walk down and see the city from a whole new perspective! I know it's location may not be the best, but I've been playing kickball there for years and there's never been the slightest bit of un-easyness... (if...

Handkerchief sized that still crams in a little league ball field, basketball, splash pool, picnic gazebos, grassy patches and some shade, etc.

For photographers a gold mine of sorts awaits at the back. A series of three wooden decks and stairs down to the river's edge affords panoramic vistas of nearby Lowry Bridge, the Mississippi River and famous 'heron island' where the birds have built a small...

It's a nice little park but what I'm writing about is the rookery for Great Blue Herons and Double-breasted Cormorants that are on the two little islands here. It's a delight to have nature so close to us in the city. You can walk down the steps to different viewpoints, or an unofficial path at the corner which brings you to a spot closer to the second island.

Nice Urban Park with a variety of activities and walking areas starting from here, including the Lowery Bridge and ferris wheel. Blue Heron Rookery during the months of March and April. Mississippi River viewing platform and stairway down to the shoreline.
