Thomas Sadler Roberts Bird Sanctuary — Attraction in Minneapolis

An unbelievable oasis for birds and plants along the chain lakes. Thank you to the many volunteers who do wonderful work in the Gardens and Bird Sanctuary. An especially good slice of land to check during bird migration for songbirds, especially warblers. Even if you're not into birding, come for all the wonderful nearby gardens and then take a walk through the sanctuary and watch and listen! Nice urban wildlife refuge! No dogs or jogging allowed and people are mostly respectful that birds are the priority. Most birdwatchers are happy to share what they see and help novices. Does not have a physical book to record species but is very well maintained. Pay parking lot so park above the rose garden on the neighborhood street to avoid a ticket. Beautiful scenery, never too crowded, so much peace and serenity encompass anyone when they walk these grounds. There are few places that give back internally to the soul what the eyes get the opportunity to consume upon arriving. This is one of those places
