One of the most beautiful settings in Minneapolis! Views of a wonderful lake for sailing, canoeing, fishing. ..and walking/running. And if your hungry Bread and Pickle hits the spot! Cappuccino just what I needed on a windy, blustery day before the Walker/Methodist 5/10K fundraiser...decent turnout despite the weather because. ..great cause and even better locale!

The trolley came.by....delivering more folks to soak up the stately, historic homes and enjoy the bandshell....a princess fairytale of a structure ! And home to aome really great shows...all summer long.

Early urban planners may have made some decisions that make things in this town a real challenge ....the intersection of Lake St. & Calhoun /Isles...Lake & Hennepin. Later planners may have stumbled in not reserving SOME of the Wonderful Bike Greenway along with for some type of mass transit ...as the lightrails current situ is full of problems (not least which-doesn't serve those most in need)

Oops..far from Lake Harriet and the gorgeous bandshell....absolutely nothing beats a Minnesota Summer evening spent under the stars, listening to music, surrounded by neighnors...enjoying our 3 (?)months of respite from the winters cold!

It's something we deserve after being bundled up for months. And something we relish....as if just released from the deepest, ...

I had such a good time at a free yoga class here. Starting the day with a view of the sail boats in the lake was just wonderful. Grabbed an iced coffee and delicious scone at Bread and Pickle afterwards. That night I went to see a free concert in the bandshell. They were great and some people got up and danced. Having never been there before these were both such fun events and I’ll be back for more. The free yoga is 6:30am M-F, 8:00am S-S. The concerts are all free as well. It’s dog friendly and you can grab a yummy bite at Bread and Pickle. You can also take a cooler if you like. Parking can get busy so maybe so show a little early or ride your bike if that’s an option. There is a paid parking lot and...

I attended a wedding here. It’s a pretty place. Parking was a bit of a challenge and there was a large police presence. I’m not sure if that is a bad sign, but I appreciated the efforts. Plenty of picnic areas that people really utilized. Having the river run right through the park was very picturesque. If you are thinking about having an event there, keep in mind that runners, walkers, etc are still able to go about their business while the event is happening. It was distracting, as a wedding guest, to be watching the bride and groom exchange vows and suddenly joggers with their dog go zooming by right behind them. The buildings are very pretty and have been kept nicely over...

The Richfield United Methodist Church recently held a service at the Lake Harriet Bandshell, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The setting itself is stunning, with the picturesque Lake Harriet serving as a breathtaking backdrop to the bandshell. This natural beauty elevated our worship, making the experience of praising God even more profound and inspiring. The open-air environment, combined with the serene views of the lake, created a unique and wonderful atmosphere for our service. It was a perfect blend of natural splendor and spiritual reflection. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful or fitting location for our church gathering.

Loved this locale for our family! There seems to be something for everyone! We visited on a Saturday afternoon, so experiences could vary by time and day of course. Walking trail is clearly delineated; bike path is separate. Loop trail is 2.8 miles. At the park pavilion, you will find a lovely concession stand that sells a host of items. Bread and Pickle is on site selling breakfast goods, burgers (including a veggie option), and ice cream. Bathrooms were clean & I found a water filling station to refill kids’ water bottles. I found a fun new spiked seltzer for sale, too!
