My family decided to make it to Minot to visit this park because of our family heritage as well as another location in Minot. We enjoyed our visit here. We picked up a meal at a nearby drive-thru and ate at one of the covered picnic tables. We enjoyed lunch at the park in great weather in June. We visited the visitor center which had unique gifts that we haven't seen before and found plenty of Scandinavian items to bring home to family. We visited each of the monuments in the park. The only monument not in good condition was the ponds which might have been off due to the summer season. Each of the monuments have a phone number and location number to listen to a description of that monument/location. I enjoyed visiting each of the locations in the park. The Gol Stav church building and Heritage House were very informative to local volunteer tour guides to answer questions and share their history. The giant Dala Horse made for a fun photo opportunity with children and family. There was staff on site and all were friendly and helpful. This park was fun, informative, and unique. To stop and have a picnic lunch made it more relaxing and enjoyable.

What a splendid site to visit; this is my second time visiting and this time I actually got to see everything before winter and snow hit the ground, water freezing, it was just a fantastic time to sit and enjoy the view, almost wished I prepared a picnic to just sit and feel the breeze. I would definitely love to see how it would look in the spring, as summer has the flowers grown start to wilt a little bit, and have less of a vibrant color. I would of loved to see them in full unwilting bloom. The dedicated memorials and buildings are definitely worth seeing; though it is a shame a few dont look well maintained, but I cant tell if thats cause of no maintenance or just visitors doing all they can to ruin the beauty of the site, so that the future cant see it. It is a shame to have seen people even today just harming the beauty of the site, kicking the buildings, bringing dogs into the buildings, or even playing loud obnoxious music right as everyone was enjoying the park.

This park was so beautiful and serene, even when it's super cold and gray outside! Tina was absolutely wonderful to our family when we went inside the Visitor's Center to check out what was in the Minot area and gift shop. She's spent SO much time speaking with us candidly. We are considering moving to the area and she shared personal experiences and recommendations based on us having a very young child and our interests. She was one of the most kind people we met during our week-long trip and she was so sweet to our son. She never rushed us and offered to take our photo with a really charming hand-carved troll bench. Thanks so much for everything, Tina! You really made this park and experience so much more special and memorable for us!
