Let me start by saying it takes A LOT for me to give a business a bad review. I understand the frustration of trying to make every customer happy, and I'm not usually one to complain. It's a lot to read but I wanted to explain everything.
I originally chose this shop for my remote start because when I came in to inquire about it, the older gentleman I talked to was very understanding of my concerns about my vehicle being a diesel. He completed explained how it all worked and not once made me feel like he wasn't taking me seriously. We were pretty excited when we dropped the truck off to them. The installer was there when I dropped it off and seemed to have an attitude. I didn't think much of it at the time, assumed he must have had a bad day or something. When I came to pick it up, the older gentleman was there again. He walked me through all the workings of the remote starter, everything it does and how it works. He was very professional. I thanked him and paid the bill. I left to go pick up a friend to drive my other vehicle home. When I came back and got in the truck I noticed that the gear selection indicator (P R N D L) in the instrument cluster in the dash was slid down and unreadable. I went in to ask if they'd look at it, I assumed it must have shook loose during the installation. The installer immediately cut me off and said it was like that when he got in to pull it in the shop. Which I thought odd since I would have noticed it when I drove it there. But, I'm pretty understanding so I figured maybe it was. He said he never even took the dash apart, simply went under it to hook things up. I believed him and again figured maybe it was a coincidence. I dropped the truck off to my wife at work (it's her truck) and she was very upset about it. I defended them which upset her more. Then she noticed the side of the dash wasn't clipped in all the way. I thought that strange since he said he hadn't needed to take it off. On her way home, a wire fell down from the dash and got hooked on the brake pedal. I again defended them saying it wasn't a big deal and I would zip tie it up and everything would be fine. She called them to try again to see if they would look at the dash. After talking with the installer about it he mocked her saying that the other day he had a customer blame him for a flat tire after a radio install. She told him we would not be coming back for any more business. He told her I guess that's part of the game. I found that to be very unprofessional. Then today when I pushed the parking brake pedal the entire unit fell out from under the dash. It wasn't secured to anything under there, was just stuffed in. I definitely wasn't going to take it back so I decided to fix it myself. I got the dash off much easier than expected and noticed I wire was run up to the headlight switch harness and tapped into the wire for the parking lights the unit flashes the lights so that makes perfect sense, but it's located in the top left behind the dash. How did he get that there without removing the dash? I then noticed what I assume is an antenna wire for the remotes runs up through the dash and up the pillar, again, how did he get that through there without removing the dash? What's strange is I had absolutely no problem with him removing the dash, I assumed it was required. So why did he claim he didn't take off the dash? With the dash off it was very easy to see where the gear indicator was and how it inadvertently got pulled down when a wire was pulled on. A wire that would have been in his way. So it likely got pulled on when he was moving wires out of his way. It took me two seconds to reach in there and push it back up. So now I've taken the dash apart and repositioned the unit and secured it in place. And fixed the gear indicator. So what exactly did I pay $200 in labor for if I had to redo all of this?? My biggest issue is the complete lack of professionalism on the part of the installer. We will never do business here again. Which is unfortunate because I really liked the...
Read moreGot a car starter put in my '03 Pontiac after buying it from a silent auction for a local cancer patient. It specifically said both the installation and the starter itself. The manager refused to put it in after I showed him the certificate I had bid and won on. He told me because the certificate was signed by an employee who no longer worked there it was not valid. He said they never donate both a starter and installation. It clearly stated that as I pointed out again and he offered to give me the starter and I would pay for installation even though I already paid hundreds from the auction. I didnt know what to do so I called a family member who knows a lot about vehicles and finally the manager agreed to have it put it (after almost 2 hours of arguing).
Once I picked up my car, the radio didnt work, the time/radio station light was completely out and there was a blinking security light where it usually says low oil. I took it back and they refused to take responsibility saying that they weren't by the radio wires and it was impossible that it was their fault. I called the next day and they wouldn't let me bring it in. I set up an appt at another place to try and get things fixed and they said all the wires were messed up and could try and fix it but weren't sure they could. I decided to just take it home and had my brother call. They still refused to look at it, take responsibility, and blamed it on something I must have done later on. Once I used the car starter, the car alarm went off. I had it installed in November of 2017 and still today I have a blinking security light, a car alarm that goes off every time I start the car, my radio came back on after a few days but the light where it shows the time and radio station has always been out since then. Dont ever go here. I wish I didnt. I wished I paid for one from a different place and didnt have my car all screwed up. Its impossible to try and sell due to all the problems and just hope other people dont fo there because they will get...
