Acai Bowl Co. -Merged with Harmony Tea Bar — Attraction in Mission Viejo

It was alright.

When I entered the shop it was surprisingly quiet for being an Acai place and had a large sitting area down the side of the shop. The staff was friendly and explained their subway like process of choosing your base (acai, Dragon fruit,etc.), then granola, fruit, dry nuts, and liquid toppings. They have 2 sizes 12oz and 16oz both with flat rates (regardless the amount of toppings you add). One thing that disappointed me was that the acai base was pre-made and frozen. The employee scraped out the acai like an ice cream shop, and compressed it onto the bowl. In the process of my bowl being made I found out this place is owned by the same owner of Harmany Tea Bar. Lastly, in terms of taste of the bowl. The fruit and toppings were fresh and made the bowl taste much better. The acai on the other hand tastes like the frozen acai you can buy from Costco, which to me is really disappointing in the fact that the cheapest bowl is $7 -- a standard price for real acai bowls, but I can't quite rationalize spending that amount for acai that's not made fresh. :/ Overall if your craving an Acai bowl, this place will probably meet your craving then...

I brought my daughter into this establishment today. Service was decent both employees treated us respectfully. Butttt... I never received my order. My daughter received her acai bowl but for some reason the smoothie I ordered was not made. We waited and waited (I paid including a $10 tip) yet still nothing. Finally I was told they were out of the oat milk. I'm pretty sure that in the 15 minutes I waited and also prior to payment they knew they had no milk. Yes I did leave without my smoothie and also very upset! I literally had to come home and make my own. I was excited to try this place because I love bowls and there aren't many places by me. This was really really terrible. My bowl was soupy and there was granola just floating around in it. Almond butter (when I wanted peanut butter which they don't have) was just squirted on top and was a mess. I could have gotten past the aesthetic if it tasted good but it was honestly so terrible. Because it was my first try and it's relatively new, I'll give it 2 stars instead of 1 but I would not recommend this...
