A historic marker on side of a road; not much to see but it has some historical significance. The Trail of Tears stretches from Georgia to Oklahoma with markers like this scattered along the path. This is a small section of the trail which has been preserved.

The Trail of Tears, here’s an original location where the Trail of Tears passed through the area, something that never should’ve happened the way it did, however it’s really something special to walk along one of the original paths from the Trail of Tears.

Not really a monument, just off a side street next to Walmart. But was interesting to read the history and walk part of the path. It's a nice, quiet, gravel trail bordered by homes on either side.

Although this is a very short part of the Trail of Tears I still took my two children for a visit. I was very pleased to see some informational stations just a short walk down the trail placed their by the National Park Service. The street parking is great for personal vehicles, no need to park at nearby commercial parking lots. We spent enough time to reflect on the Trail as well as learn about this section...
