As urban oases go, this park is a truly remarkable gem that effortlessly merges natural beauty, recreational facilities, and a unique and vibrant sense of community. The moment you step onto the premises, you feel an immediate sense of tranquility, an embracing serenity that makes the surrounding cityscape recede into a distant memory.
The park features a diverse range of amenities that cater to every age group and interest. At its heart, the basketball court stands, a testament to the park's commitment to sport and outdoor activity. It's clear the community takes pride in maintaining this space; the court is in decent condition, an ideal space for a spontaneous game or a bit of practice.
The picnic areas are another delightful feature, dotted with well-maintained tables and benches that invite you to slow down and savor a meal in the open air. The space is generous, able to accommodate both large gatherings and quiet, intimate picnics. It's as though the park beckons you to reconnect with nature while you enjoy your homemade sandwiches or hot, steaming takeaway.
However, what really sets this park apart is the innovative children's playground. Not only does it feature the traditional slides and swings, but it's also peppered with an array of xylophone instruments that add a musical charm to the area. Children are invited to explore and interact, creating their own symphony of sounds that resonate across the park. It's this creative blend of play and education that truly makes the playground a standout feature.
Little ones are not forgotten. There's a dedicated section for toddlers, ensuring that even the youngest visitors can explore and engage safely, away from the bustling energy of the older children. The equipment is sturdy, colorful, and designed to foster early motor skills development.
For the fitness enthusiasts, a beautifully maintained running path winds through the park, allowing you to immerse yourself in its tranquility while engaging in your routine workout. It’s an equally lovely spot for a casual stroll, offering a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle.
In conclusion, this park is more than just a recreational area. It's a cornerstone of the community, a place where people can come together to play, relax, and enjoy the simplicity of outdoor life.    Read moreA great small oasis of a park. It has large and small grassy areas, many wonderful trees and plantings: even a “bee friendly” bank of special plants to attract bees! I have been visiting this park for over 30 years and have seen it constantly improve over that time. Mill creek borders and runs along on one side of the the park so it can be approached by 2 different walking/riding bridges. It’s also located on the Mill Creek Pathway which is a travel artery passing through different parts of Moab. Kids wade in the creek or play in the 3 different play equipment areas. There’s also a unique and surprisingly large collection of metal musical instruments alongside a small gazebo. Additions at the south end include a basketball court and bleachers. A few steps up a bank next to the “bee plants” are more whimsical metal sculptures and a new restroom building and a small parking area. The restroom has been covered in murals adding more art to this amazing,...

I recently visited Rotary Park in Moab and had a mostly positive experience. The park is a great place for kids to play, with plenty of open space and a nice stream running through it.
However, there were a few issues that detracted from my overall enjoyment of the park. For one, the bathrooms were all locked when I visited in October. This was inconvenient, as it meant that we had to hold off on using the facilities until we found a place that was open.

Overall, I would give Rotary Park a four star rating. It is a great place for kids to play and explore, but the locked bathroom situation was a bit...
