To expensive to be average with the price of a basic meal at $30 with athe soda.

Service: sorry but it was below par. As mentioned in the environment section, it was breezy and cold by the patio door that they sat us down by. The server didn’t explain anything and was distracted. Although she warmed up a. It over the night , she wears not very personable.

Environment: for a BBQ joint it looked more like a night club. Dark inside with blue lighting. It was cold where we were sitting. They sat us by a door going to the patio with servers going in and out and the breeze came right accords to us. I mentioned it shortly after we sat down and the server did not even respond to my comment.

Cost: quite expensive. Especially for the service and for a 4:40 arrival, many things were not available. The Baked potatoes were not going to be ready for another 45 minutes which means that they were not even in the oven when we arrived , and the cheddar mashed potatoes where already gone.

Food: I like the thick slices they do for all the meats

All the meats had a nice thick red smoke lines

the Tri-tip was so well seasoned that I didn’t want or need any BBQ sauce. It was cut from the end, good for the seasoning, but it got dry dryer the closer that I got to the end. By the end, it was to dry and tough to eat, and there

The turkey was moist and was complimented by the sauce.

The brisket was again, thick sliced, with a nice smoke ring, that was fully rendered but dry.

The biggest disappointment was the corn muffins. Please add some salt and maybe some honey! They were so bland and so almost inedible that my kids would not even eat them. If they are a recipe, buy a mix.

Cole slaw, a must with BBQ was enjoyable and fresh and crispy.

The beans were good, nothing special, but good.

The onion rings were also a huge disappointment for the kids. The breading was crisp but the onion was a...

Wife and I walked and and there 7 people at the bar leaving and we were the only other patrons. We placed a simple order off the menu, we made no special amendments. One bowl of gumbo, one cup of gumbo, corn bread, a baked potato, one diet soda and 1 draft beer. Within 3 to 5 minutes the waitress comes out and places food down, and asks if anything else was needed. I respectfully reminded her about the drink, she walks over 7 to 10 feet and asks the bartender. A few minutes later the bartender brings the drink and says the delay was due to the gas in the system (co2). I am not sure what they thought as i could see what transpired the whole time. She was on her cell phone as was the waitress on and off. The gumbo was decent, the potato was a potato and corn bread clearly was over a day old. They could have warmed it up to give the appearance it was fresh. I had completed the drink and placed it within a clear area so that at least a semi observant person would inquire if I would like another. At the very least ask if there was anything else we would like. The waitress opted to come over to the table with the credit card machine. She never brought a check, she did not ask if we were done. At this point I was a little upset and said "I guess we are done" which finally triggered her to ask if we're finished. I simply paid and we left. It is unfortunate because there is no other visible bbq restaurant in Moab and they have live music. Timing of food delivery is important as it has an influence on perception if food is fresh or not. Service is even more important. If you have time to be on your phone then you have time to be checking your tables, assist in the back, clean something, assist with others that do...

We are here for a week riding our sxs’s. If we lived here we’d never come back or recommend it to tourists. First off, the hostess looked pissed that we came in and she had to do work. We had a party of 7. Two meals came out fairly quick but were cold. They were about to be really cold if we had waited for the others to get their food because 15 min later the rest came out and most of them were cold. One person didn’t get their full order and had to remind the waiter he was missing his side. The cheesy potatoes were like paste, not cheesy at all, but like mashed potatoes gone wrong. The mac n cheese had lots of sauce on it, but it was tasteless. They serve a corn muffin with entrees. They don’t serve it warm or with any butter. In fact, there's no butter at all. Dry dry dry and Jiffy from a box has more flavor. A member of our party wanted brisket and wanted it from the flat end so it’s leaner. She asked if the brisket was lean or fatty and explained what she wanted. The waiter said it’s all fatty. I highly doubt he had any idea of how brisket is cut. I’ve never been to a bbq joint worth its salt that didn’t understand her request and or at least offer lean and moist brisket. The bbq sauce was at the table. They had two kinds. Neither were anything special. The waiter never refilled our drinks. They had a live band, but didn’t have a dance floor unless you could do it in the 2 ft x 2 ft space in front of the stage. Whoever owns this business is lucky it’s in a busy tourist town because there was NOTHING good about it. The food was bland flavorless and cold. The service sucks. Yet, it was a busy place. Obviously all out of towners because screwing up 7 meals is not a one...

Really good BBQ place with lots of blues memorabilia. I don't know if different sections have a different vibe or if the lights go down at dinner time, but this was the brightest it's ever been when I went (we had lunch). The other times it's been for dinner and a little dimmer with blue lighting. We had mozzarella sticks for an appetizer, which initially I thought "That's a hefty price for mozzarella sticks" but you got three sticks that really were about 12 inches long! My gf got a turkey melt and I went for the Blu's Beefy Texan, a hamburger topped with some brisket and a giant onion ring. When I say it was a "heart attack burger", I mean it in the best possible way where you know it's as delicious as it is unhealthy. And it was absolutely delicious! I would 100% have this again. I had a side of hush puppies, and my girlfriend had mac and cheese with her turkey melt and then got another side of cheesy potatoes. It's a close tie between what stole the show more: the cheesy potatoes or my burger. The cheesy potatoes were a bit like twice baked potatoes and really, really good. I certainly enjoy hush puppies and rarely miss an opportunity for them, but these potatoes were amazing and I kept stealing bites from my girlfriend (payback for all the times she's stolen my fries). My girlfriend isn't super into BBQ, and while I'm no connoisseur by any means, I do recommend this as a good place to sit down, enjoy good music, good food, and relax. We were both waaaay too stuffed for dessert!

A truly fantastic Utah barbecue restaurant. This restaurant features live music in the bar area, and a more peaceful family-oriented scene in the dining area. The craft beer menu is exceptionally good - especially for Utah, where finding craft beer is often difficult. There must have been at least 20 different Utah craft beers on the ales section of the menu alone! Nonetheless, the highlight of the experience was, of course, the barbecue. I consider myself a pretty big fan of barbecue, and the Texas burger was definitely among the best bbq-style burgers I've ever had. The burger is filled from bun to bun with tender beef brisket - so tender, in fact, that the pieces of brisket were falling apart when I picked up the burger simply due to its own weight! Pair in their selection of traditional bbq sauces (I was a particular fan of the Kansas City style sauce) and you've got yourself a world class brisket burger. Needless to say, I found the burger very filling, so I found their house garden salad with balsamic to be a great light and healthy pairing. The service was also great - our server (I believe his name was Carlos) did a great job. The prices are a bit on the higher side for Utah restaurants but for the quality and the quantity of the food, it's well worth it. All in all, if you find yourself in Moab and are craving some traditional Southern style barbecue, this is the place to go.
