DO NOT JOIN! I HAVE A LAUNDRY LIST OF ISSUES AND I AM SURE I WILL BE UPDATING THIS. First my main issue is the early morning staff person who is also a trainer it seems. She is the rudest person I have ever met to this day. I am not a morning person but I always say good morning she at best responds with a grunt if she can take the time to look away from her phone.
On the opposite side, the woman who comes in around 9 am and the younger girls are some of the nicest gym staff I have met from any gym and I hope the owners knows the quality of the staff.
PRICE POINT = TRASH - it is the most expensive membership I have had next to La fitness and for no reason. The gym isn't 24 hours anymore. The weekend hours are trash and usually about 1/4 of the gym is broken or malfunctioning. Dumbells don't match, plates are cracked and shattered, benches slide because they are not secure, the cables slide away from settings even when they are locked in.
The morning trainer also decides that she gets to take all the lower Dumbells and no one else can use them.....cool cause I don't pay my membership just as everyone else.
Pics to follow cause man is this place dirty and gross. I am afraid to drink the water here because the bathrooms always smell of feces thats because it comes up...
Read moreBeing in the fitness industry, I have been to a lot of gyms in the south jersey area. I have been to numerous Retro fitness, LA Fitness, Future fitness, Giant fitness, Edge, Atilis.. Rush Fitness has been by far my favorite gym. The gym offers very nice, top of the line Hoist equipment in the main area of the gym. It also has a full area for batting cages, an outdoor area to play basket ball and lift weights during warmer weather (including adjustable racks and crossfit bars), and an indoor crossfit area (half turfed) with additional rogue crossfit bars and racks, bumper plates, climbing ropes, peg board, wall climbing, plyo boxes, etc. The gym offers services from a professional chiropractor for adjustments, and is right next door to a full wall climbing place. This gym has a little bit of everything. The staff has always been friendly, its never tooo over crowded (unless its january), and the regular members are tight knit. You will see a lot of the same faces and make friends if you come often.
I love this gym, but unfortunately I am moving out of state and very sad to leave it behind. I hope I can find a gym just like this when I move. I will definetely be getting a day pass when I am back in the...
Read moreOver all a great gym so im giving it 5stars. I feel it was better years ago before they changed everything, prices, rules etc. Ive read the other reviews good and bad. I dont know who wrote its a typical guys gym or dirty. Its far from that. This is not just a guys gym, no screaming roid heads at all and the whole place is very clean. The AC lacks a little however its prob a money issue. Only thing i highly agree on is the staff really isnt trained at the desk. Everyone is always scampering for basic questions or calling the owner. No knowledge of drink and protien bar prices. Other then that , plenty of equipment, clean, everything works as it should. Bathroom is clean( id poop here). The music is basic not loud and should fit everyone. I bring earbuds. The owner is nice but can get annoyed when you break his stones. So dont, because youre prob asking for something ridiculous. The cross fit people even have their own section to injure themselves in without effecting the others who are training serious A chiropractor would do well if he opened in the...
