The Coin Buyer — Attraction in Montclair

Been here many times, owner is friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I've had good experiences in every coin store I've been to, but this one here I have to say goes beyond what you'd expect.

If you're into coin collecting and like myself you read up on the variations, the mistakes and error coins etc., but don't really KNOW about them beyond photos from grading sites-then this place is the spot to gain knowledge from guys who've done this their whole lives.

I learned more in 20 minutes in this shop about coins than whatever time I've spent reading up since I was 10 years old! I'm 49.

I went into The Coin Buyer shop today to purchase a 1947 90% silver quarter and to get an appraisal on the coins and tokens I have. The staff was very professional and helpful. I was impressed with their stock. They have a wide variety of coins and precious metals and the prices are good.

Once I broke the ice with the staff it was a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately for me I didn't have much that was very valuable but I wasn't really there to sell anything anyway. I just wanted to see how much my small collections of coins and tokens were worth. Amazing store. I wish I had more time when I stopped by. There's so much inventory to look over. I could easily lose hours in this store in order to look at everything they have. I bought this 1oz silver trump round cuz I love trump and like I said I didn't have enough time to look over everything else. But I was reading the other reviews about how the owners are political and made up my mind that if they were democrats i was gonna turn around and walk out because i as well am very political.
