Bella Verde Resort & Golf Club — Attraction in Montebello

Excellent experience at the Bella Verde Signature Par 3 golf course. Disappointing that it's only a 6-hole during the day and 9-hole at night. We told the lady that it was our first time visiting so you would think she would mention that it's only a 6-hole. We even had to ask her where to go after checking in for tee time. We had no idea so we were shorted out of 3 holes. No big deal. Just disappointed because the course was excellent! I was just happy to be out there and only lost one ball in the water.

The Signature Par 3 course is well-maintained. The condition of the greens were excellent except for all the divots no one fixes. All of the holes are short; however, they are very challenging. They have elevated tee boxes, wide fairways, water hazards and bunkers on this par 3! Resort style course with beautiful fairways, gorgeous grass, fast and challenging, undulating greens so tricky... At least it's very challenging for a beginner like me. The course seems as if it were designed so you really will need to adjust stroke power and aim. You will definitely have to hit over water on two holes. There isn't much shade at every hole so it could get pretty warm if it's over 85°. It was a lovely and fun experience and will definitely return when we can play all 9 holes.

There's a beautiful and elegant bar area that's excellent for wedding receptions. The staff was very pleasing and kind. You're very relaxed the minute you arrive for tee time and speak to the starter because you'll be walking through the outdoor lounge attached to the indoor bar - it's SO relaxing. Definitely a golf course I'll visit again when you can play a full 9-holes. Remember, it's only 6 holes (during the day) so if you just want to sneak one in, it's perfect for you. Fantastic first time playing here. Luke is the man! Gave me his time to talk about the course and history of the course at Montebello. Just awesome hospitality and welcoming. The bar was also great, the Chicken Teriyaki was also really good for the price. Definitely coming back, this is what a par 3 should have...you're not there for the difficult golf, the EXPERIENCE and venue are in a Country Club state. Nothing short of pure and just extremely well maintained. You can tell if it weren't for the lack of course etiquette and Covid Golfers who dont fix their divots, greenskeepers still manage to have prestine greens. Great course, well kept up. I played this past Saturday morning at 8:50am. It was a terrible experience because the starter over booked we started 10 min late and the game was delayed on each hole, our game took approx 2 1/2 hrs. If this is normal for the weekends I will not be playing on the weekend at this course. I went last Friday it went really well it was not stacked at all. I would appreciate if they would have at least one port a potty at hole #4 or 5. While the Pro Shop is under construction. The Staff was wonderful very pleasant and helpful, the golf carts work great. Overall experience was good. I will definitely recommend...
