Woodfire Pies — Restaurant in Monterey Park

It's an unassuming food truck that is tucked away right off the 60, so I didn't expect much but I was blown away by how good their pizza is! We ordered the meat lovers and al pastor and enjoyed both.

The dough has a light crisp with a nice chew on the inside. Everything from the sauce, cheese to toppings is top notch. You can tell they put a lot of effort into crafting all the elements of a delicious pizza.

I just discovered this place a few months ago and have been coming every few weeks. So happy that there is a high-quality pizza place near me!

This little unassuming trailer by the 60 has some of the best margheritas in LA. The wood fire gives their crusts a unique smoky aftertaste that can't be easily matched by the competition. I recommend trying out their wings as they're baked in the oven alongside their pizzas so they're also infused with a subtle smoked flavor. I'd definitely try them again. The only issue I have is the lack of seating but it's not so bad since the pizzas are just small enough to be held with one hand and enjoyed...

Service was friendly and super efficient. The food quality and flavor were better than expected! Pizzas were perfectly cooked, the sauce surprisingly fresh - you could taste the tomatoes (like right off the vine) and spices balanced.
