This is the first time that I have ever given a review. I do not like controversy, however this afternoon, I was looking forward to visiting the campus 30 years after getting my AA @ ELAC and then transferring to get my BA. I am now a teacher and pride myself in being an advocate for my students and empowering them to better their future. My daughter and I went there to enjoy an exhibit, which was very nice. However, upon arriving there, we were asked to leave our meduim sized bags at the front desk, which we did. We were the only Hispanics (Mexican) there, and we saw 3 other women, (2 Anglo and 1 Asian ) with the same size purses walking around with their bags. I kindly asked why they were not asked to leave them just like they had told us, but they really didn't give me a reasonable explanation. I let them know that I was offended because I felt discriminated. They really need to train their personal a lot better., especially since they are minority as well. Mind you, don't go here expecting to see things ABOUT Vincent Price, this museum exhibits items from Vincent's personal art collection which is really neat. It is great that Price was so generous in making these exhibits possible for the continuation of art appreciation and helping to make the arts accessible for all.
