I have never been treated so horribly while shopping. Within five minutes of being in the building, I overheard a guy who worked there, say to someone else " I am not saying it's a race thing, but it's in their DNA. I should have had her leave her bag up here." Referring to me, although there were people in the store with bags and purses. But, I overlooked it and didn't take it personally. For the next hour and a half, he followed me around the building. I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe, but I refused to let him run me out of the store. I know ignorance is running rampant right now, but I never expected this kind of treatment in a diverse college community. I am in college, and many of my friends love to go thrifting, I will be sure to spread the word, about the horrible treatment and attitude I received in this store. Eastbrook Flea Market is the worst thrift store I have ever been to, and I have been thrifting since I was a child. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I only gave it one star...
Read moreIt's not really a flea market more of a Antique Mall with many vendors just lay out their goods for anyone to pick up and check out in front with the owner Sandy who is very hard of hearing or so she claims. It a unique spot in which I have never seen run like this one. Has three floors of space for vendors. Price is rather high for the space, low foot traffic when I was there middle of the day in the middle of the week. No one wears the mask and thus this could someday be a breading ground for C-19. Nice furniture, nicer peices than I could ever find in any local furniture stores. Great for high class clients who want to buy one of the kind furniture! Not really for the low class clients for which their budget requires cheaper furniture. Nice people there. I just wish it was a real flea market but I cannot say...

The majority of the time, younger adults are on register duty and slow to acknowledge customers. I'm always on the lookout for sale booths, and every single time, I have to ask if any of the items are on sale (they have a list of booths with sales right at the register). 9/10 times, they charge me full price on sale items. I also have instances of items sold as a set, which is clearly on the price label, but the checkout staff will charge me for each item (tripling the price). Fortunately, I catch their errors. They would do better with more oversight/actual training...
