This place was recommended to me as "buffet" restaurant. They should have said, " THEY SERVE YOU BUFFET STYLE." The biggest disappointment was the "setup" . You walk down the " buffet line" getting to choose a meat & 3 or 4 veggies, w/ cornbread muffin for $10.75. Your choice is placed in styrafoam to go tray & at the register you are given choice tea , water or punch also in styrafoam. No dessert comes with the meal. It's a choice of 2 cupcakes at a cost of $ 1.75 or $ 2.25 ea. Only drink allowed. drink. Though, I did enjoy my veggie plate, the portions were a little in the small side. The dinning room itself was spacious and tastefully decorated. I'm not knocking small beginnings. I give props and praise to owners for acting on the dreams. My son and I entered the establishment and was amazed! The cafeteria style setting was delightful, you can actually see whats being offered. We ended up ordering turkey wings and cornbread dressing with cabbages, because they were out of collard greens. Everything was great! I have been back several times since and I am never disappointed! Please dont get me started on the desserts! I am in love with the peach cobbler cupcake, Miss Angie is putting so much love into those deserts!

Read moreI was invited to try this place and I am so glad about it. The food was seasoned perfectly. Most places just season chicken and fry it. You can tell this was brined so that it was flavorful throughout, not just the crust. The green beans and black eye peas were great, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the sweet tea....OMG! I'm going to ask for the secret ingredient, although I'm sure they won't give it away. I'll just say, PLEASE try it for yourself.
UPDATE: I've been going to this restaurant for 5 months now. And the food and service only gets better with each visit. I just have to come and update this to give it all 5 stars....
