It took me a long time to find a tattoo shop that met my needs for tattooing. The cleanness and atmosphere of Up In Arms has exceeded everything that I expected this place to be. I have been working on my botanical leg sleeve with Archer for a few months now and he has never failed to make me feel comfortable and take my opinions into consideration while making a design. Everyone else that works there has the same mentality since their work is floating around everyday when people leave their shop. Everyone has a different style so that customers needs are met and are so welcoming to new people that want their first tattoo. Dawn is the first person you see when you walk in the door and she'll immediately greet you and help you with any questions you may have or get you checked in quickly to your appointment. During my tattoo breaks, her and I would have conversations about anything and everything and offered me water and candy so I could continue through my session. Plus, the first time I came in to start my sleeve, I brought my little sister and they set her up in a chair next to me and gave her water and snacks and they treated her like she was my age and had her in all conversations to make her feel included. They constantly make jokes and have the tvs playing interesting movies and created a vibe there that is nothing but enjoyable. Not to mention that the pricing matches the great quality of their work; which is why I would recommend Up In Arms to anyone that is considering any...
Read moreDecided on a random Saturday to get a piercing. Walked in and everyone was tremendously friendly, the shop was clean and overall amazing. Zack took me step through step of piercing, the healing process, and the cleaning process. I have had the same area pierced three times and everytime it was either a very wonky piercing or it was infected and the other piercers I visited always brushed it off as if it was nothing. Here, he explained to me why he’s putting a longer bar in, to come back in 6 weeks if I do want a shorter bar, explained to me that if anything may look off or if I am questioning it I can always pop in and he will check it out. I absolutely loved that he explained do not get the Spencer’s, hot topic, Amazon jewelry but if I like what they have I can send him a screenshot and he will get it in a good quality for me! Everyone was amazing there from front desk and through the entire process. They were doing flash sales on tattoos and if I would’ve had the money I definitely would have gotten one! I also felt as if the process was not rushed which makes me want to come back. Zack sat and talked with me through why my other piercings were taken out, asked me about my tattoos and made the whole process comfortable. 10/10 definitely...
Read moreI'm still trying to process the horrific experience I had at Up in Arms Tattoo From the moment I walked in, I was met with racist remarks and aggressive behavior from the staff. The owner, in particular, seemed to take pleasure in making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
But the real kicker was the tattoo I got done. The design was supposed to be simple, but the owner clearly had no skill or attention to detail. The lines are crooked, the shading is uneven, and the whole thing looks like a mess. And to add insult to injury, they charged me an arm and a leg for this subpar work.
The staff's behavior was unprofessional and aggressive, making me feel like I was in a hostile environment. They seemed to take offense to any question or concern I had, and their responses were always laced with hostility.
Needless to say, I would not recommend Up In Arms Tattoo to my worst enemy. If you value your skin and your sanity, stay far, far away from this place. They're clearly not interested in providing good service or quality work, and their racist and aggressive behavior makes for a toxic environment.
Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else....
