My first time coming to Bob Evans as an adult. I do recall my mother telling me that we went there several times when I was a kid. I don't know if the service was as good then as it is now but yes they are well deserving of a four-star. I was so hungry I didn't get a chance to take the picture of everything I had but nonetheless the syrup that's left over in the checkered paper basket was covering the Blue ribbon signature maple syrup bacon strips. Also serve to my table was a Chipotle omelette and yes the avocados were fresh nice dark yellow green. It tastes so good the only thing that was missing was the sour cream. Also serve to the table was a salad I forgot the name of it I want to say something like wild bang or something to that nature that was good as well. I would suggest having a tuna fish sandwich with the pickle on the side to serve if you have small children who say they want to eat a lot yeah that sandwich right there will be good enough for them. Nonetheless the place was clean the restroom was clean and I appreciate a very well-kept restaurant as well as their restroom. Our server I believe she said her name was Bobby now I'm not sure if that really was her name for all I know the next waitress could have been named Bobby due to the fact the name of the place is Bob evans. Comical, did not ever lose sight that she must be professional and she was all of the above and more. So thank you very much for your professionalism and courtesy you made our day. There was a limited amount of parking space however as long as the handicap section was still available for those who needed it I didn't mind parking in the next lot which is a joint. When the bill came I thought for sure it was going to be sky high but I was wrong. I can't believe they managed to keep their prices to a minimum especially after the pandemic. Yes I would say it is moderately priced but for all the food you I served it's enough to feed more than a three people that sat at the table. Will be back I don't know how soon but I hope all Bob Evans are as great as you guys were otherwise somebody will hear my mouth or rather read...
Read moreMy in laws and my wife decided to head to this location about 20 minutes before I arrived with our 3 year old and 1 year old. This way their food could be ordered and upon my arrival they would be set to go. They arrived at 6:15pm and were told it would be a "few minutes." I arrived at 6:50 so see they still had not been seated. As a former service industry worker and managerial staff member of competing restaurants I surveyed the restaurant. It did not appear to be busy as my family were the only ones waiting, yet about 11 other tables were sat ahead of them (some were 2 tops which is understandable)
There were 9 open tables and 2 of which could have been conjoined to suit our dining experience. No one acknowledged them after the greeting nor me upon my arrival. With two hi fry children and what we thought was planning ahead, we could wait no longer with such lack of professional practice of customer service. We left after my mother in law exploded (which never happens...I am still in shock as of this writing)
We are now happily dining down the road at Eat and Park where we we accommodated within 10 minutes.
The end game? We will not be returning to Bob Evans in the...
Read moreI've been to this location several times now. I can sum up my review with one word. Inconsistent. Over the years, I've not been to this place and had a typical experience. It's almost always one way or the other and is definitely dependant on what hour of the day you go. I've had some really positive experiences with servers who know how to treat customers, managers who've gone above and beyond, and food that was good. I've also had the opposite and everything in between. You can order a side of broccoli with your meal one day. It'll be fine. You can go another day and it will be dirty (literally had dirt on the broccoli. I can name several more instances that are similar). For reasons that are no longer present, I would continue to give this place a shot (if at the least to support a local business), but our last experience was off-putting enough to where I'm done with this location. Our server was pushy, barely communicated during interactions, but was suddenly friendly when she brought the bill. I wish the place luck. I hope they can find or at least properly screen for people that actually want a job rather than having to put...
