What a great, hidden little gem. $5 for parking gets you into a nice sized lot with lots of space. There are bathrooms, a great playground including several structures to climb. The playground is not shaded and the slides are mostly metal, so thats not ideal on a really sunny or hot day. There are grassy areas to throw a Frisbee and tons of picnic tables all around the play area and across the parking lot in the woods. We saw many parties taking place. There are also many trails and picnic areas in the redwoods to take walks or eat. We loved it here and it was not crowded and pretty quiet. We took a walk on the manzanita loop and it was the perfect length for younger kids. We found all kinds of interesting mushrooms and plants to look at.

I came here early on a Saturday morning meeting up for a trail run in the Oakland hills. This was a beautiful area! The parking lot here was well organized. It's a great place to start if you want to hike up in the hills. Lots of old trees and shade to enjoy your adventure. When I came back I was informed about the nearby pool. I heard it was recently renovated! Plus the price to swim was super cheap! Can't go wrong! I would come here next time and use the swimming facilities! The nearby picnic areas were very clean as well. Each table was being used by children's birthday parties. There was an entrance fee to get into the parking lot which I think was $5 but still not too bad! This place is a hidden gem tucked away in the...

I love being amongst old Redwood and/or Sequoia trees. We come just to sit and take in the essence of ancient energy...it is so therapeutic. I AM an empath but also I AM interested in the Law of Attraction, Quantum and Metaphysics. I collect Stones and Crystals...I take interest in matters of time, space and Universe. In touch with Milky Way and ever interested in the millions of other galaxies...I take interest in so much more than that but overall my point is...this place aligns with all of those things. It's beautiful. You find your spot and sit back and enjoy the Energy and beauty of thousand year old...
