Loantaka Park — Attraction in Morris Township

Scenic and interesting suburban park near horse stables. Interesting, paved long path runs parallel to a creek, easy to use for wheelchair, stroller, skates, bikes. Parallel path on other side of creek has gravel - horses usually walk this path. Beautiful lake with paved path on one side, gravel path on another side, grassy area on another side . Nice playground and picnic area near big open mowed field. Lots of dogs are usually seen being walked on leash. Nice restrooms at both ends...

It's big space with trails, soccer and baseball fields, a playground for kids. It is also pet friendly, so bring the fur babies out when it's nice! There are two reservable group picnic areas. There is a open restroom as well. The kids like it (sans the mulch 😅). There is also other open fields as well. Definitely wouldn't mind the short drive here to...

It's a great walking path....try to walk it every day at lunch. Majority if it is paved... you can veer off the paved to the natural ground at a point to see more of what nature has to offer.
