I have been in sales positions for my entire work life and know the value of true customer service and feel strongly about complimenting those that do it genuinely. Being able to make a customer yours for life takes hard work, loyalty and trustworthiness. I brought 2 pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes to Rago Brothers after they were completely destroyed by Service Shoe Repair in Caldwell, NJ. I had dropped them off to have sole protectors placed on them in brand new out of the box condition and received them in a condition that was nearly impossible to repair. After losing all hope of being able to wear them, I then decided to visit the business who has a huge following of word of mouth referrals and where I should have gone from the beginning. I brought my shoes to Rago Brothers and hoped for the best. My entire experience with them from beginning to end was nothing short of outstanding. The nice man (I think was the owner) told me he would do his best but couldn't promise that he would be able to fix the damage. I received a call 1 day later in the evening from Matt who told me that he never did a repair job like mine before (even admitted it was his first after many years in the business) and he thought I would be very pleased. I returned to get my shoes today and thanked them with tears of joy in my eyes. Being a woman who loves fashion and luxury items, I cherish the nice things that I have and was heartbroken when I saw my very expensive shoes destroyed. Rago Brothers is by far the BEST in the business and deserve 5 stars. I have heard that they are the best and now have experienced it myself. The most inconsiderate, uncompassionate owner! I brought in a belt that belonged to my Dad (who passed), wanted to have it cut down to fit my son. For reference, I brought in a belt that my son wears and wanted my Dad’s belt cut the same length. It was a very sentimental and supposedly simple project. Apparently there was a misunderstanding because the belt was cut way too short and the remnant was discarded. Therefore, my son will not be able to wear the belt. I asked if there was anything they could do. There was a very nice young lady at the counter who tried to help but ultimately, I had to wait for the owner to arrive in a few minutes. He came in with an extremely defensive attitude. Rather than letting me know my options for salvaging this project, he went on and on about how they did not make a mistake and it was somehow my fault and he’s been in business 40 years (I guess implying that it’s impossible to make a mistake with so much experience??). He was twisting and turning every word that came out of my mouth and was so argumentative. I was trying to stay calm about the whole thing until he so unprofessionally asked another customer, a complete stranger, to come and be the judge of who is at fault here- Did it even matter!? I just wanted to know my options! When this stranger came to hear the story, I commented that it was my Dad’s belt and very sentimental to me. The owner waved his hand in my face and said “This has nothing to do with your Dad” … I was then overcome with frustration as this project had EVERYTHING to do with my Dad. 1st off... DO NOT get the "thin red protective sole"!!! They will completely ruin the look of them!! Im currently sending them back to be removed, since I had NO idea this is what the outcome would be. Now for the positive stuff.. I destroyed my poor heels at a wedding, dancing on a wood planked dance floor. :( This company was very fast to respond, great pricing , and amazing customer service. I'm happy with the repair. But regret agreeing to the red protective bottoms. I wrote the company in tears. They offered to remove them and restore the original bottoms. I'm sending them back next week. I will hopefully update this with good news. ***Update sent them back to remove the horrible bottoms. Hannah ( the lady I was emailing back and forth with) was amazing the whole time. She had them recieved , repaired and returned within 2 weeks. They look near perfect now!! I am very pleased overall. Thank you! *last photo is the final removal of the "protective " bottoms.

The quote was $330(more than the purse , but I can’t find the same one). I agreed and paid. I received the purse back. The zipper and strap were fixed, but the lining was still dirty,stained and ripped. Rago Brothers saw my review on Yelp and Hannah (the person who was handling my purse) emailed me saying I could send it back (again) to be fixed or get a partial refund. It was such a hassle boxing it up and mailing it (I’m disabled), so I accepted the refund. Years later, and I’m still left with an unusable, dirty, ripped lining purse that I spent a lot of money on, all became Hannah didn’t bother checking the work. If I lived close to this place, I’m sure it would’ve been easier. Sadly, this was a waste of time and money for me.

The second Chanel piece is a compact Chanel card holder zip. I’m disappointed that the paint color outcome is not the same as how I sent it. I wanted the same color to cover the stains instead it came back more yellow and not the original color. They cleaned the inside but I’m not pleased with the exterior. I have reached out to shop and they repainted as best as they could. I think the price is a bit too much for such a small piece and for it to come out dull and not shiny (calf skin smooth leather finish). I’m just not happy with how it came back after they stripped the paint and repainted to another color. I regret sending it and spending $230.
