We used to come here every vacation when I was little, so we deciced to come back again. The store hours say 9-6 on google so we would have plenty of time to look around if we got there at 5. We realized the sign out front said 9-5 but we decided to go see if we could look around and if they were open until 6. We went to the worker and asked and she said they were closing, so we told her the hours on google say until 6. Very rudly back she said, “ Well it shouldn’t!!” And continued to close instead of apologizing for the time inconvenience. What a treasure! There are so few places like this left standing, and hats off to the owners for preserving this historic gem. It’s a snap shot of a simpler time in America. The pot belly stove. Creaky uneven wooden floors taking you room by room. If only the walls could talk. What stories of the town could be told! Definitely worth taking your kids and grandkids for a stroll through the building to see a time gone by.
