My favorite place! The Old Country Store in Moultonborough, NH is nostalgia in its best form! Best believe I walked away with a barrel pickle and fudge! #wickedweirdnewengland #newengland #travel #thingstodo

The General Store in Moultonborough, NH, is a true gem that combines small-town charm with an impressive variety of quality products. Walking in, you immediately feel the warmth of the community, as the friendly staff greets you with smiles and helpful recommendations. Whether you're in the market for local groceries, specialty items, or unique gifts, this store has it all. Their selection of locally sourced goods, from fresh produce to homemade jams and baked goods, is a highlight that sets them apart. It’s not just a place to shop—it's a gathering spot where you can grab a cup of coffee, chat with the locals, and experience the heart of Moultonborough.

This is a wonderful country store in a charming little town called Moultonborough. It's a great place to take your friends if you're visiting or your kids or your family or what have you. There are endless pros of penny candy and gifts and rare and sometimes strange fun items. There is a wonderful very rare museum upstairs of course it's free and it has a lot of interesting things from back in the actual old days. It's a great place for a rainy day activity and the crowd is polite and it's a very charming store with really an endless array of unique items. But also penny candy and rare candies and treats. Lots of parking also benches outside.

We used to come here every vacation when I was little, so we deciced to come back again. The store hours say 9-6 on google so we would have plenty of time to look around if we got there at 5. We realized the sign out front said 9-5 but we decided to go see if we could look around and if they were open until 6. We went to the worker and asked and she said they were closing, so we told her the hours on google say until 6. Very rudly back she said, “ Well it shouldn’t!!” And continued to close instead of apologizing for the time inconvenience. Very disappointed in the rude manor she portrayed on this business my family and I used to love to visit. Not sure if we...

What a treasure! There are so few places like this left standing, and hats off to the owners for preserving this historic gem. It’s a snap shot of a simpler time in America. The pot belly stove. Creaky uneven wooden floors taking you room by room. If only the walls could talk. What stories of the town could be told! Definitely worth taking your kids and grandkids for a stroll through the building to see a time gone by. (Oh, and when you do, purchase a local jam or pickle from a pickle barrel to add to the experience. They also carry neat retro toys and of course, lots of souvenirs of the area.) Definitely worth stopping. You’ll be...
