Tonight my 18 year old was driving home when something snapped in the rear end of his vehicle, forcing him to quickly but SAFELY pull into the nearest gas station to call me for help. I immediately began the 45 minute drive to him, while contacting AAA to have him towed. While waiting in the parking lot, with his vehicle running as it’s cold outside, he was harassed by the store attendant for “loitering”. When I arrived, the attendant who had been outside the building at the pumps talking to someone else, began giving my son and I dirty looks, went inside & locked the door despite store hours visibly displayed. Fine, we were just waiting for a tow and with this day and age, I can understand concern for safety and worry. Shortly after however, the owner, who was extremely rude, showed up and informed me that we had no choice but to move the vehicle because we were on “private property”. I explained that my son had broken down and we were awaiting a tow. She began arguing with me that his vehicle was running so it couldn’t be broke down and stated she was going to call the police. I offered to call AAA with her near to confirm the service call. She declined. The police arrived and I told the exact same story. This officer was more than helpful and explained to the owner what we were doing & left with no issue as the tow truck was confirmed en route. This review is solely for the ignorant owner who showed up immediately looking for an argument rather than an explanation. YOU ma’am, are the reason we need to fear for the world our children are raised in. Your ignorance tonight is distasteful as a business owner and shows your true character. This was a young adult, just getting started in this mean world, who safely was able to pull off the road THANKFULLY without loosing his tire, on a freezing cold night with temps in the low 30’s and call for immediate help to ensure he could get home safely. He did not block your entrance/exits, your gas pumps or your parking spots nor was he disrespectful to you or your staff in any way. Despite your ignorance, I kindly refrained from telling your customers to spend their hard earned money elsewhere, refused to engage in your petty argument in the presence of both my children and thought long and hard about the need to share this review. However, I was taught that constructive criticism can be helpful so take it how you please. YOU ARE WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR SOCIETY. I hope you have the day...
Read moreI went into this store last night and was told I needed to put on a mask. I enformed the cashier that I didn't. I stated, I had no problem going elsewhere if it was a problem. I also stated, I'd keep a 6 foot distance. I then showed him the states map, where it is not enforceable. The CDC is not our governing body! The CDC can make "recommendations". Only the State legislature can enforce masks! In NH masks are NOT mandated! It is unenforceable if these businesses tell you to do so! The guy got mad and threw my change at me. I stated that for now on I'll go somewhere else. He replied, good. If you're going to run a business then at least know the laws! ADA, OSHA, and HIPAA! I would give a 1 star, but I'm going to chaulk it up to the cashier just...
Read moreNever shopping here again. I've been a loyal customer for years and today I came in to buy by hubby a six pack. Even though I'm pushing 40 I always have my id and happily handed it to the cashier. I was told that I needed to remove my face mask in order for him to sell to me. No I will not put myself in harms way to give this store business. I am immunocompromised and am not going to do that. Absolutely making it my mission to share this experience with others and will cease all business, gas included due to this embarrassing encounter. The cashier was not wearing his mask either, it was hanging off one ear and that is not okay either... not...
