If you’re looking for an incredible (but lesser-known) trail, consider hiking to Bubble Rocks. This trail goes to two separate viewpoints called South Bubble and North Bubble that overlook Jordan Pond from up top.
It's 2 min drive from Jordan pond, you can see the board on your left side. again you might face parking issues. we started hiking. The Bubbles Trail is 1.6 miles long and gains around 500 feet in elevation. If you’re short on time (like us) - go for the south bubble hike- the view is amazing from here.
normally for any vacation and tour, I do my research (where to stay/dine/local food) and during that, I came through this south bubble hike and I just loved the pic in that blog. To the west rise the 'Sargent and Penobscot Mountains' and to the east is 'Pemetic Mountain'. The ascent and descent from/to the Jordan Pond in the south leads over steep, rocky terrain and is...
Read moreOffers some amazing views of Jordan pond from the farthest most peak area. However, going up this way offers unobstructed views of the pond, as you are right on the edge of the mountain. There is access from the other side as well, which is much easier. Do this on a mostly clear day, as wet rocks would cause some trouble. Definitely worth a...
