This tour comes with the purchase of tickets for the SSYorktown tour at Patriot's Point. It is both inside a "bunker" (very well air conditioned) and outside (so whatever the weather is). It has small boardwalks, hilly areas, and some places with stairs - so I wouldn't necessarily say handicapped accessible but depends on the ability. There is a tower to climb, some exhibits with a few stairs to step up, and a couple little trailers where they have videos running on a loop (one is 7m one is 14m - both have ac inside). My teenage sons gained a better insight on an event that is almost removed from the history they learn elsewhere so it doesn’t need to be the most intense realistic thing in the world. My mother-in-law and I both walked through this exhibit trying to hold back the tears. Thank you to the wonderful Veterans who volunteered at this exhibit on the morning of Wednesday, March 20.
