I was on a road trip from Los Angeles. I drove straight up to Shasta Lake on the first day, and I had no idea where to go or what to do. I did some research, and I'm glad I found Lake Siskyou. It's a beautiful, clean lake with very cool water, and a beautiful view of Mt Shasta. It's conveniently right off the highway. You don't have to do much walking from the parking to the beach area. Bring your paddle bards, kayaks, etc. You can also rent them here. You'll have to walk on a million tiny rocks as you enter the lake, so wear...

The lake trail is amazing. My wife and I love the variety of landscapes. Thick groves of pine trees to Meadows a long with lake shore and creek inflows. The wagon creek bridge is beautiful in design. The walk is mild to easy. Children would do fine. Can't wait for summer so we can navigate around the entire lake. Parking is ample of people take in to considering parking practice. We love the place and we go most Sundays. We live on the redding area and go...

It was a very busy 4th of July. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot. Everyone, seemed happy to be there enjoying this beautiful Lake. People did wear their masks whenever they were passing large family groups. The trail was clear and well kept. People were on pontoon boats trolling around...

I loved Lake Siskiyou. The trail to the footbridge heading North West is really well maintained. There are beautiful views starting at the footbridge of Mnt Shasta. Dogs are welcomed on the leash and the lake is clean and great to swim in.

Decent wide trail through loose forest, bit boring. Essay and flat, except for the western river inlet. You can now pass only by wading or climbing the trunks 100 yards upstream, needs some balance and sense of adventure.

Nice hike along Lake Siskiyou in the shade with constant views of the lake. You'll also see Mt Shasta in the distance. Easy trail with little elevation. Some steep drop-offs, so watch your footing.
