We went here to get a view of comet NEOWISE and were not disappointed. The pure lack of light pollution made this the perfect spot. We were able to catch photos around 10.30pm of the comet. I also snapped a shot just before sunrise of the mountain (but no comet). It was a little scary when we could hear a bear groaning in...

Beautiful lake, very clean. Restroom not open at this parking area, but others were. Didn't catch qny fish today but we did see many native birds to the area, including what looked like a giant stork. Maybe an osprey, not sure. A quiet and peaceful...
