Kiwanis Spray Park — Attraction in Mount Vernon

Playground and facilities closed for COVID-19, but the boardwalk through the wetland still makes a lovely destination for a stroll with the family. It's shady and cool, a lovely break from the hot sun, with informational signs that got my kids thinking and talking about ecosystems for a bit. We met several families on the trail, and you can't keep six feet of separation when passing due to the narrowness of the boardwalk, so plan to bring a mask if the pandemic is still an active risk during your visit.

We are excited to visit again when the full park reopens to try out the spray park and playground - my 10 year old says the climbing-heavy equipment looks like her dream playground! I want to try the equipment for adult workouts at the north end of the park. In the meantime, I'm sure we'll enjoy the birds and beauty of the boardwalk trail...

This is a great place to take your younger children I can walk up until aboutnine or ten maybe older and you know how much they like the water but it's the fun part water shooting up and down and then the other accoutrements that the park offers. One of the perfect examples of city parks in Mount Vernon, which is one of the best cities I've lived in in western Washington for city parks, the only one that's better and should be because the size of the city is Seattle so if you're basing it against Seattle then its head and toes above it the rest and as far as size of the city comprable wise I say it's above & beyond Seattle in the other cities thank you I'll Vernon for taking care of the parks for the residents of the city they're wonderful and beautiful...

I feel like this water park is a great place for the kids to play and also cool of during the hot summer time. In the high heat is great for when I bring my kids they love it. Also when they are done playing with the water they end up playing at the regular park with all the slides and monkey bars also some little rock climbing wall they have. The cool thing is if your kids are really small they also have a smaller park for them too to play on. Yeah this park has a bit almost everything it has a basketball court also a baseball field in it. And it even has a nice little walking path to get some exercise.
