Honestly frustrated with my experience at this haunt. Its overpriced, but in the sense that even if you pay the high cost for admission you then also have to pay additional fees for anything else there. My friend and I had purchased an already pricey 2-person VIP bundle, excited that we'd be able to go quicker and play the escape games and axe throw together. But the 75 dollar tickets only actually covered the haunted house and 1 escape game each. Another of my friends who hadnt known you didnt need general admission if you were only going to the escape games and not the haunted house wasted 30 dollars instead of spending 5 or 10. I would love to point out that there were some excellent actors in clown outfits who were just having a blast- they were by far the life of the party at this event and I hope they will be hired for years to come. They performed live fire displays for waiting crowds and terrified and delighted passers by.
One of the last haunted houses (circus themed) was painted by a Fantastic local artist who had a booth set up separately. The funhouse vibes and 3D glowing shifting artwork made for the absolute highlight of the entire event! Such a cool area and an underutilized concept in many haunts
Read moreMy son was here last sat for a birthday party. He was so excited to see his old friends since he switched school district's. A little back story on my son, things concerning horror have always scared him despite growing up in a household where Halloween was a time to stock up on year long house decor. Over the years he's gotten better but I think it will always kinda be there. My mom had shown him videos to prepare him for the night. He was a little nervous but knew he would be with friends and they would be by his side the entire time. As they were going through the haunted house he had scares coming from all sides. The woman we are writing about today was dangerous close to him on his side. And she stayed close to him alot. (She was a scarer. ) at one moment someone came towards him and scared him and he lifted up his hands and the woman was still close by and he ended up hitting her in the face. When he realized what had happened he apologized over and over again. My son is a wild and crazy 12 year old preteen. We all know that age. And as a parent we always think of our kids as the best but he truly is. He has always had a heart of gold. Anyone who meets that boy adores him. He tried telling her how sorry he was, honest mistake, we've all been scared sometimes, throwing your hands up involuntary is a normal response when you're scared. Anyways this woman proceeded to call mountlake terrace police department on a 12 year old AND an ambulance. This is just grossly out of line. Who calls the police on a 12 year old for an accident. Anyone there could see how scared the people are and if you have been to a haunted house or ever watch Ellen things like this can happen on accident. This woman even went as far as trying to press charges on a 12 year old. I am just in ahh. This experience has truly ruined my sons future experiences with haunted houses. An experience that was supposed to be fun turned into an actual nightmare. Shame on these people and especially this woman. I have also reaxhed out to them and I haven't heard anything back, they were going to "investigate further" because they don't know if it was actually involuntary. Hopefully others will see this before they go an choose somewhere else. Things happen when you get scared and you don't want the cops called on you for...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars I would. Our group of 10 went on Saturday and were shocked at the 45 dollar price tag to get in. As we sat in line waiting to get in, I decided to check out online how much it would have been to get the vip ticket and skip the line, since there were no signs posted about how much it was to get in. I was shocked to see that online it said it was 35 dollars for general admission and 45 dollars for vip. No where on their website did it say that there was a discount for buying online. So after our group was done going through the haunted house (which was not worth the 45 dollar price tag), we went over to the ticket booth to ask why we were overcharged for entry. It took two ladies to scan their website for several minutes, and then calling a Manger over to explain to us why we were overcharged. All they could tell us was that it said somewhere on their website it said buying online was cheaper but could not tell us where to find it because "they weren't the web designer" and is why they posted the QR codes all over while you walk to the entrance. We let them know how that is false advertisement and shady business practice and we were told "that's how all the haunts do it". Our group consists of past haunted house workers that frequent many haunts every weekend of October and this was the first time we came to somewhere that didn't post their prices anywhere at the location and charged a different price then the one they posted online. The "manager" or whoever we talked to handled the situation very poorly, and we will certainly not come back...
