Read moreFound this place by one day looking for a good quality meat store and once I walked in, I looked no further. Although I moved and am pretty far away, I still am making drives whenever I can because they are worth it!!!!!
You feel SO welcomed from the first step inside. The owner is always there and is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and is eager to show you around and tell you his story. DO IT! I love listening to his stories which is why I try to bring someone who’s never been there and always grab extra business cards and hand them out to friends and colleagues.
Now meat quality…. Unbeatable!!!! The meat is always so tender and tasty. They carry high quality meats — WHOLESALE PRICES AND WEIGHTS ONLY. They cut it and trim to your liking in front of you. It’s worth watching the show as it’s pretty satisfying.
On weekends, definitely try their dinners— tamales are my favorite!!! The owners wife (if I remember correctly) is the one running the kitchen and she’s amazing at it!!
I hope they stay open forever as this is one of the kind places. I highly recommend them and filet mignon is my go to:)

Read moreDon't walk in this place if you need 1 or 2 steaks, they only sell in bulk. I went in there for that reason and left with 20 lbs of steak. I didn't see any coolers like a traditional butcher so I told the guy it was my first time there and I wanted 2 ribeyes, so he walked me through the cooler, got what I wanted and started to cut a giant 20lb piece of meat. He cut 1, he cut 2, and kept going. It was at that point I started to think I was buying the whole thing. When he was done I asked if I had to buy all the steaks he had cut and he said yeah, we only sell in bulk. I reminded him that I said it was my first time here and he didn't explain the process to me. So, he offered to buy half of the steaks, I told him no, I will buy them. So $200 dollars later I walked out with 15 bone in ribeyes. The meat is good, but I do feel like I got taken. An explanation of their process, maybe posted on the wall, would have been helpful.
