Worst service I’ve ever encountered. We were on our way to a different restaurant when we saw this one and actually made a u turn and came back. Had a long exhausting and this seemed like a good place for dinner before returning home. When the waitress initially took our order it was rushed and the waitress seemed irritated to have to deal with us. My daughter got beef tacos no onions, My girlfriend ordered a burrito with on onions or lettuce. She said no onions twice to make sure the waitress understood. When the order came the burrito had onions and lettuce. We let our waitress know and told her a third time no onions or lettuce. She Unapologetically grabbed the plate and took it back. When the second burrito came it still had onions and lettuce. We figured that there was a language barrier so we decided not to send it back and just get it to go. We didn’t want to make a scene. A different waitress came up when she noticed the second burrito wasn’t being eaten and asked what was wrong we explained the situation and said it was okay we would keep the second burrito but she took the plate back and made sure what the order was supposed to be and they started a third burrito. When our original waitress saw this she came to the table and started to scold my girlfriend. First because she thought we went behind her back to another waitress and because it was my girlfriends fault that they now had to throw out two burritos. We tried explaining to her that we said at least three times that she initially said no onions or lettuce and she argued with us that we never stated that. I said just give us the check because I was done with the mistreatment. She said no they would make another plate. I persisted and she said no a new one would come. Now not only did we feel uncomfortable but also like felt like we were being held hostage. When the third burrito came it was finally the right order. By that time my daughter and I had already finished our food and getting a to go box was next to impossible because we were ignored the rest of our visit. I ended up walking up to the waitress station and grabbing boxes myself. I gave two stars because of the other waitress that went out of her way to try and make things right and apologize for the other woman’s behavior and they also took the burrito off the bill. It was one of the most exhausting dinners and worst service I’ve ever encountered. Food was decent but the service left such a bad taste in our mouth that it doesn't even matter. Needless to say we won’t...
Read moreThis place used to be a Burger King, and the decor shows it. Slapping some decals on the wall and installing TVs playing Telemundo won't make the customer ignore the fact that the seating still feels like solid plastic--which it is, since that's what the Burger King had.
However, the food and service more than makes up for it. These guys are the real deal; they offer delicious, rich food and it all comes in huge portions. It may feel a little steep for a small restaurant when you order, more like prices at a big, franchised joint, but man oh man is it worth it. Many places will give you lots of rice to fill the space in the massive burrito they give you--the good folks at Asteca give you a burrito or taco literally overflowing with meat, then with extra rice on the side. Beautiful. And chips. Lots of tortilla chips with a great selection of salsa.
Juicy, wonderful goodness piled onto a plate, that's what this stuff is. It's not just quantity--the quality is glorious! Great, friendly sevice, too; you can tell that the people really care about the craftsmanship they put into the food. Yuuumm-y.I totally recommend this place. Fantastic food, great people, and...
Read moreI have eaten in the restaurant twice before. The first time the food was good but the service was very poor. We thought we would give it another try a few months later. The food was still good but we had the same waitress and the same poor service. Since the food was good, we thought just get takeout the next time. We ordered two burrito dinners over the phone and was told it would be 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later. When I pulled up the drive-up window and paid, the bill had the two burritos listed on it. I paid it, she handed me the bag and I headed home which was only a 5-minute drive. When I opened up the bag there was only one meal in it. And if that wasn't bad enough, it was cold. If you're wondering if I went back and complained. No. Three possible outcomes here, 1. they do nothing (a complete waste of time), 2. they reimburse me (the time lost would not have been worth it), 3. they give me the meal (one thing I learned early in life was to NEVER upset the staff BEFORE they serve your food). My time was better spent listing my...
