Whenever I go to an establishment, I make sure that I respect the rules of that business. However, that is not the case for everyone. We arrived early and were very excited to enjoy a night at the drive-inn. However, that excitement was cut short when a jeep parked in the row in front of us and had their hatch completely up, blocking a quarter of the screen. I went to one of the employees and told him about the situation, he went and got rope to tie the hatch down and when he was done there was barely a difference. Our screen was still being blocked by the hatch and he told us that it wouldn't go down any further. I told him we were here first and he said he doesn't know who was here first. How completely rude. First of all I have nothing to lie about, second, even if we weren't there first, why is it okay for that couple to completely ignore the rules and block the view of the screen for others? Anyway, they ended up moving their car to the right a little but the corner of our screen was still blocked and they further ended up blocking the view of the car next to us. The people in the car next to us became visibly agitated and immediately moved their car over as well, since their view was even more blocked. I think the solution would have been for them to have to put their hatch down completely or move to the back. The rules that they gave us said that hatches had to be level with the roof of the vehicle. Why was this not enforced? Why were they allowed to obstruct the view of other paying guests. This was unacceptable and I will no longer be spending my hard earned money on a business that doesn't respect all of its patrons. The employee did nothing to really resolve the situation and I felt that he was rude. Never will I...
Read moreTook my 6 year old nephew to his 1st movie at a drive-in. He had a wonderful experience. We arrived 30 minutes prior to the starting time & had no problem finding a great parking spot, which were laid out well with poles. After that, we made a trip to the bathroom. It was fairly clean. We then headed to the concession stand which was very nice. It was a self serve style with 2 lines & had everything you would expect & then some. Prices were actually pretty reasonable. They also have a few arcade games as well as claw games with prizes to retrieve. By the time we headed back to the car, it was getting dark & the previews were starting. Mosquitoes & other bugs were minimal. There was a message played before the film announcing that they spray for bees, mosquitoes & other insects. Once back to the car we tuned the radio to the required station & turned the volume up. I could tell from the smile on my nephews face that he was having a great time & it brought me back to my many trips to drive-in movies when I was his age. We will definitely be going again multiple times this summer. I recommend everyone visit & support US-23 Drive-in to keep it operating for...
