Description
The Munising Front Range Light and its matching Munising Rear Range Light replaced the ineffective Grand Island East Channel Light in 1905. These two lights combine to guide boats from the open waters of Lake Superior down the East Channel next to Grand Island into the harbor of Munising.

Located right on M28. Plenty of parking. Cannot go into the lighthouse tower but the brick building in front of it is used by park services and open for public. Plenty of parking next to the building.

Located right on M28. Plenty of parking. Cannot go into the lighthouse tower but the brick building in front of it is used by park services and open for public. Plenty of parking next to the building.

Nothing much to review. Gave it a 4, because the rear range one seems more interesting nestled into the woods on the Hill. I guess the 2 in combination act to guide ships through the channel in the bay. Line the two lights up, then you are in the center of...
