Bought baby chicks here in 2023 and they were great. All made it to adult hood. They are still great. Beautiful girls. Decided to go back and get more in 2024. Only thing I did differently was I added a heating pad. (I used hot from the tap water bottles before. And all 8 made it.) This time I used a heating pad on high AND hot from the tap water bottles. Within 24 hours our reds were gone but our grey chicks were still alive. As soon as we realized we had mad casualties, we bought the medicated food and completely flipped and changed their bedding. After about 24 hours after they ate the medicated food, they stopped dying on us. We ended up with 3 survivors out of 12. We called the store and they said to bring the receipt and pictures and they'd replace them. It's over an hour drive for us so we went ahead and drove up there. As soon as we approached the customer service counter, they called for backup. Then we were basically put on the stand. They wanted to know shavings, food, heat source, type of container, water, everything. I have been raising chickens since I was a baby myself and never have I ever lost baby chickens like this. They are kept in the back room, indoors, where it's the warmest, with heat. When they asked about shavings and I told them we used the medium, like their costumer service suggested back in 2023, they actually looked disappointed that they couldn't blame that on us. Instead they blamed the heating pad. They wouldn't even let us speak so they never heard about the hot water bottles we kept. Nor did they hear about how the sick ones actually went off the heat, into the shavings by themselves to pass away. You know, like sick animals in the wild do. I wasn't mad about them not replacing or refunding them, I am more upset that they told us they would replace them and then when we got there, we were treated like the bad guys. Will never buy chicks from them again. We will go to a reputable hatchery...
Read moreThere is nothing good to say about their service/mechanic department! My father purchased an RK37. We asked when he purchased the tractor 🚜 if they would travel to MS to service it! They said YES! They had a traveling mechanic. We called and called and CALLED over the past year for serving, oil change, possible alternator! Now I’ve been calling for another 2 weeks and still no return call! No one picks up! Excuse after excuse!!!! I’ve talked to Brian, Justin and now I’m going trying to reach someone named Zach! The tractor is cutting off after running 30 minutes. My Dad is almost 80 years old! This is more than ridiculous!
I don’t have time to call every day holding 30 minutes or more for no answer, no return call!
I suggest you do NOT buy a tractor from them IF you live, like we do, in an entirely different state!
Buy a John Deere! I wish he had!
UPDATE: 10/19/2022 I spoke today with their traveling mechanic. He is scheduled to be at my Dad’s house on 10/26/2022 to service/diagnose whatever is wrong with it!
Thank you for responding. I’ll keep you, the public, updated on the status! I
UPDATE: 11/1 the mechanic went to my Dad’s house and I could not be more pleased with him. I still don’t know his name. He was very personable and very understanding. He told my dad if he had any other problems, he’d come back! It’s nice to still have very kind people, professional, who keep there word.
Also, he has a great since of humor!!!
His name is Justin! Thank you! I appreciate you more than words could...
Read moreMy Mother and I went here for the first time last year and we absolutely LOVE this store!! It reminds me a bit of bargain hunt, but with more of a country vibe. The inventory ranged from live animals (mostly baby chicks & ducks when we were there) and animal feed, to clothing, firearms, outdoor items for gardening, and lots of random items that anyone would be able to find something that's interesting! I had to practically be dragged out of the store!!
The only thing that surprised me, and it's only because everything in the store is either low or very reasonably priced, so when I saw the pants priced at $100+ it really caught me off guard. I've paid that much when I was younger at stores like A&F or Hollister when I made good money (and was obviously crazy), but I since I didn't recognize the brands I had/have no idea if the $100 prices were a good bargain or not. It's also possible that they were much cheaper and an employee forgot to add the lower price like some stores that leave the original price and add the lower amount below.
I would highly recommend this store to anyone who lives in the Shoals area. Whether you're looking for anything in particular, or just browsing, I assure you that you'll find something that you either want or need! It's highly probable you'll find...
