The Coffee Place — Restaurant in Muscle Shoals

Wanted some fuel for the road and Google revealed this as the most convenient stop on the way out of town. This is a small coffee shop that appears to share a space with another business. There was a sign out front that explained they only operated an inside sitting space during the hours of the other business; it was drive through only otherwise. This was no big deal for us!

They have coffee, smoothie, and some snacks and cafe type meals like grilled cheeses. I didn't see any specialty drinks but there were a LOT of flavor add-ins. I saw an option for chocolate peanut butter which I immediately jumped on. This is a somewhat uncommon flavor -- in fact, I've only had it once at another coffee stop -- and so I was excited! Iced lattes come in three sizes; I got the smallest. The price was about what you'd expect.

Service was truly lovely! Lady at the drive through had such a nice disposition and seemed very happy and kind. My drink came out quickly.

However, taste-wise, it didn't really deliver for me. It had a very gritty texture that wasn't pleasant, and not much discernible peanut butter flavor. The coffee flavor itself was a little on the acidic side but terrible. Just overall not my favorite. The drink was really pretty to look at, though!

Perhaps I got the wrong flavor add-in. I'd be willing to give them another...

They need better advertising/signs. I checked out their page and saw if was almost $7 for a large latte I was fine with that and had hopes my son could paint while we were there. So the main google page that shows their location said that we can check their google or Facebook page for more information. That information was no where to be found. I was 15 min in and I just gave up and went there. Drove around since there was no signage on where to park. I finally park , get out, get my son out of the car seat for the lady at the window to tell me "oh sorry, drive thru only" I was so irritated. There could at least have been signs by the drive through so I didn't have to go through all that. Ended up going to Charlie's. Definitely...

First time stopping by this place and I'm comparing it to basic Starbucks coffee. Got an iced Americano with LIGHT cream and got a drink that barely even tasted like coffee. Again, maybe just bad luck on my part, but not impressed at all and I wanted to be with the 4.9 star rating. I'm sure their fancy drinks are tasty, but I was looking for coffee and not sugar. 2 stars for good service and something cold to sip on. Again, 1/5th of coffee flavor compared to Starbucks when ordering...
