Skate-O-Rama — Attraction in Nacogdoches

Today is a nisd holiday and had planned on taking my 3 kids out to learn how to skate for the first time, however I checked the website, and come to find out they are closed on Monday, which is not understood, most fun facilities for children open up on school holidays, so there is something fun to do. I remember the waterparks in Houston opening up for labor day or mlk day, or the amusement center in which had a rink in it. Then I read all of these horrible reviews, now I'm like forget this I would probably get racially discriminated for being a Hispanic, with 3 hyper Hispanic children, and probably would be over charged, and then been asked to leave because my kids are intolerable because they are running around and yelling like they do sometimes when they having a good time. It is an absolute thrill to see a picture of the skating rink and see it's still open since I used to frequent it every weekend during my junior high school years. That was 53yrs ago. I'm amazed it's still there. It brings back awesome memories since I was there so much and learned to skate there and met some cute guys. I haven't been back since but would thrill to if I'm ever back in 'Doches. I'm so glad this rink has stayed open because it's great, clean fun for young people in Nacogdoches, that they won't ever forget. I gave 3 stars because of the kids in free promotion, my Godson got in free and only paid 3 for skate rental, it was 7 total with me included. The venue itself was fine, there was a decent amount of seating, a concession stand that I didn't check out, and plenty of kids around. For some crazy reason, in the middle of July there was no air conditioning in this building. There was hardly any temperature difference from the 96 degrees outside.
