We made an impromptu stop here on our way to the Ruby M. Mize Garden. It was so interesting and the displays were well done. It is a very small museum, but the young woman (Emily, I believe) was very sweet and open to any questions we had. It is free but accepts any donation and I would encourage a donation to keep this treasure of history about trains, Nacogdoches, and East Texas available.

I truly value this old restored building. I'm so glad it wasn't demolished. I was born and raised in Nac. I'm 72 years of age. I used to walk by the old train depot as a very young child. I recently moved back to Nac and hadn't been back for 20 years or more. It's simply wonderful to see how well preserved this...
